As a member of the Baby Boomer Generation I found the title of this book rather intriguing. Once I began reading it I found the subject matter not only interesting but also relevant to my remaining years.

The idea of developing balance in ones life is not new, but the idea of embracing the importance of one's financial dimension along with ones mental, emotional, physical and spiritual dimensions is refreshing. Mr. Moffatt's view that money is important touches the reality of life, but his perspective that money need not be of greater focus than ones ability to grow within each of the other four dimensions may in of its self be unique in many ways.

Within each dimension the author defines ways in which we may be held hostage by myths and limiting beliefs passed down from our parents and piers. While their intentions for the most part were well meaning, the fact remains that these beliefs may have limited us from reaching our true potential within all five dimensions. That said, changes have occurred over time and we are now privy to scientifically proven information that dispels most of these wives tales, allowing us to cast aside these age related limitations.

As the book states the time to act is now! Defining the myths, providing a course of action as to how to overcome these limiting beliefs and then presenting interesting stories as to how the author embraced each of his five dimensions makes "Your Second Fifty" not only an enjoyable read, but a great stepping stone for embracing a truly interesting and exciting second fifty years of your life!
