Why has our clutter become like another member of the family that we feed, house, and lug around? Your Spacious Self: Clear Your Clutter and Discover Who You Are shows us that it's not our stuff, but the holding on to it that creates a force field of "stuck-ness" that clouds our perceptions and paralyzes our lives. Clutter is not just the junk spilling out of the closet. It is any thing or thought that prevents us from experiencing who we truly are. Clearing is not a tedious exercise of throwing away, but a gentle journey of softening our grip and letting go!
Radical in its message and elegant in its simplicity, Your Spacious Self offers a new model of clearing that combines the ancient wisdom of space clearing with the modern practicality of clutter clearing. It teaches us that clearing is not just something we do, but also a powerful way to be-one small step, drawer, or moment at a time.

Your Spacious Self follows the way to get rid of clutter and, along the way, find yourself better. Stephanie Bennett Vogt left her teaching career after twenty years to get herself in balance. Beyond all of the clutter, inside and out, Vogt found out more about herself. She went through it herself so she knows how difficult it can be. She knows that it is a daily work in progress. She knows the feelings that come up.
Vogt¿s self help book starts by going over the many types of clutter, including: physical, mental, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and environ-mental. No matter what type of clutter, it shows imbalance. She studies the reasons for clutter. She tells readers that they carry their clutter with them. You can even feed off others clutter. Then Your Spacious Self talks about the journey of clearing. Vogt suggests using this book along with a circle of friends. She suggests following the book chapter by chapter and to meet to discuss thoughts. Each section finishes with ways to practice and discussions for the meetings.
Your Spacious Self, written by Stephanie Bennet Vogt, is an easy to follow self help book. After reading each chapter, there are many examples to practice and discuss. And if any part is too hard, Vogt recommends stepping back and try to do some thing in a smaller way, either less room, or for shorter amounts of time. In six weeks, you should notice a difference, whether doing this on your own or with a group.

Thanks for your great book! Not only have I taken out boxes and boxes of stuff to the recycle bin and garbage man, I actually found and mailed articles I'd ripped out of magazines to send to friends which I knew they'd appreciate. I'm looking forward to continuing the physical clearing stuff, which my husband is actually being inspired to participate in as well - thank you! Most amazing though is the change with an ongoing issue with the strong-willed women in my life. I tried the 'Unplugged' suggestion, and immediately felt a difference in my attitude - which has subsequently held up to face to face encounters. THANK YOU. Your work is amazing, thank you so much for sharing it, and it will be me who's responsible for the increase in your royalties!!

Overview
Behind our stress and clutter is an infinitely spacious place one might call "stillness" or "joy." This is our natural state of being, but we usually do not experience it because we are caught in a web of material possessions, desires, and fears. Why has our clutter become like another member of the family that we feed, house, and lug around?
