    Good but may be difficult to find

    I was excited about a book from another writer, especially someone respect. I write career transition articles and blogs, when I'm not recruiting semiconductor and telecom engineers. Since I was unable to attend one of Marc's presentations at Barnes & Noble in Texas, I went to one of the Barnes & Noble stores last Saturday, but the clerk didn't have a copy and was not aware of the book.

    On Tuesday I called two nearby B&N stores in the Dallas area. Each store indicated one copy was available, which I purchased.

    The book has excellent basic information as well as tidbits which should be very useful to the reader in transition. Although I don't think the author meant to be hilarious, I found the section on branding very funny. For example, suggesting that women should wear a "structured, sleeveless belted dress" in the middle of winter would just not work!

    I liked the section explaining Automatic Tracking Systems (ATS) as you don't see that in most career books.

    Although The Ladders is for people who earn over $100k, I think the book has value for all job seekers of the many "ingredients" to help move the search to success.
