I ordered 'You've Got What It Takes' as soon as I learned about its existence, and I finished reading it in less than two days. I loved every word! What a wonderful encouragement for women of every walk of life, with every skill and talent and interest. As I applied the information presented in this book to my own personal life and speaking/writing ministry, I learned that I was already doing many things right, yet I also received an array of new ideas and suggestions. As Marita encourages, I immediately sat down to write my own personal and professional mission statements, and I received great joy and satisfaction from the process of solidifying my life mission on paper. I was especially glad to receive confirmation from Marita about a process I had already been going through -- narrowing my focus so I can use my energies and resources most effectively. God has called each of us to a very special and specific work, and this book encourages us to first discover and then rejoice in that fact. I will be re-reading this book as my ministry grows and expands, and whenever I need some encouragement and a cheerful reminder of all that I can be in Christ. What a blessing! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Today's woman hears a cacophony of conflicting advice on what her true role should be. But in 'You've Got What It Takes,' Marita Littauer takes an affirming middle ground which gives women permission to just be themselves, whether their calling is full-time at home or in the workplace. Organized around celebrating six P's (present, privileges, purpose, personality, path and passion), the book reminds us that women today have unparalleled opportunities for career choices, including the traditional nurturing role. Littauer encourages women to find their spiritual anchor, to define themselves with a life mission statement, and to be open to letting personal passions turn work into play. Other voices share Marita's perspective through inspiring quotes sprinkled throughout the book. Readers will find her resources for spiritual growth and establishing home businesses especially helpful. It's a book from her heart that you'll want to re-read several times as you work through your own P's of personhood. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I bend pages of books that have golden nuggets for me to use in my very busy life as a wife, mother and President of a ministry to women. 'You've Got What It Takes' has bent pages from beginning to end. Marita Littauer has passionately captured countless insights and truths about being a woman in leadership today. I only wish I had read this book 10 years ago. The book is filled with ideas, practical application and encouragement. The chapter on how to 'Simplify your Life' is worth the price! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

From the moment I picked up this book, I knew it was different. Its fun and easy to read format was deceptive, because of its profound underlying message. I learned about the personalities and why I act the way I do. Then it presented me with very practical reasons as to why I should have a mission statement and set goals. And then it helped me figure out how to do that! I put down the book, feeling much more in control of my life. I'm now truly celebrating being a woman! Thank you, Marita Littauer! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Littauer's YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES is the most encouraging book I've read in years. The chapters on passion, personality, and path were so helpful to me that they changed my life! I'm much better able to focus on my purpose and use my talents as an individual since reading this book. The book contains a personality definition tool that is thought-provoking. Littauer also includes a comprehensive bibliography for follow-up.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
