    Adorable treats!

Both of the authors have a lot of experience in making small, cute crocheted objects known as amigurumi, which originated in Japan. Yummi `Gurumi says that "crochet doesn't have to be all blankets and teddy bears" and it offers suggestions for items not typically associated with crocheting at all.

Yummi `Gurumi comes with over 60 ideas for crocheting cute little foods that are separated into sections. Fruit salad and a veggie set with dip make up the Natural Goodness chapter, while Asian specialities of dim sum, sushi and stir fry are in the Global Treats area. A sandwich bar and cheese board are in the Bite to Eat section and would be perfect decorations to put out when you had a get-together! I loved the super adorable tiny crocheted cakes, including fruit topped cakes and a mini two-tier wedding cake. Plus, how fun it would be to present someone with a tiny crocheted birthday cake on their special day!

All the stitches needed to complete the projects are illustrated and explained, so that even a beginner can learn to make the projects in Yummi `Gurumi. They can also be made into more utilitarian objects like cute pincushions or key chains and they all just take an hour or two to make.
