The author presents a simple yet compelling lesson that "each of us is unique and each of our special differences should be celebrated". He is the father of two autistic sons who were his inspiration for this "novel" way of encouraging us to embrace the unique charisteristics of all people not just those on the Autism Spectrum. This book should be read to and by parents, teachers, and students. It is a new approach to fostering dcevelopment of an accepting and caring society. We all need to practice this lesson. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I normally don't write reviews on books, but this book was the exception. In that I mean EXCEPTIONAL!! I have read quite a few books children's books that were written about autism, explaining the behaviors, actions and language expressed by autistic children. And this book BY FAR is the BEST. It gives personality and character in a wonderfully well written book, that keeps a childs' interest and attention, by all of the rhyming words, all the while teaching important lessons about how everyone is different and how it is important to "see people with your heart and not your eyes". Wonderful book, would be a great addition to any childrens library. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
