What happens when you look out of the window of your life and realize that the world is crumbling down around you? That's the question Noelle had to ask herself. This short story is the answer she chose. It's a quick read, but a good story. It's a tale of repentance and forgiveness, a true "pay attention" to those raising young children. I would have liked to see the story develop more and to get the "what happens next," but even this short snippet is a true demonstration of talent

This was an excellent short story. It is about personal mistakes and asking for forgiviness. I was looking for more by the author but I am not interested in sex books. This one is great!

SUBC Review: I’ll Be Home for Christmas by Zane Overview: Noelle Mitchell never explained why she abruptly ran away from home at the age of fifteen. All anyone knew was that her boyfriend, Reno, convinced her to abandon her family. But when she shows up at the family house on Christmas thirteen years later, what’s revealed about her absence will either tear her family further apart or bring them closer together. This story was short but sweet. What I enjoyed most was how the mother welcomed Noelle home after 13 years with no questions asked. There is nothing like a mother’s unconditional love for her children. This book was free, but could have easily sold with no problem. Truly felt the love and pain reading this story. Complete letdown, in my opinion. Was resolved in a tidy fashion on one page after a huge buildup. Went from page turning to really annoyed.

Can one be forgiven for the hurt he or she has caused? This was a short story of Noelle on how she returned home after thirteen years of disappearance. She was back to ask for forgiveness and to let her family know how much she loved them. This was not a joyous Christmas tale, but it was still uplifting with the message it had. I was saddened to read about Noelle's past and how her actions affected her loved ones. I found myself praying that her father and sister would forgive her and simply accept her back into their lives. I wished the story was more developed because I connected with all of the characters. Though the resolution was a bit rushed, I still liked the message it entailed: it is important to forgive. This was a bittersweet short story.

It is more or less a chapter. Not what I consider a story.

I love this book, it makes me want to get myself together.

The story is 12 pages long, 20 after all the extra is added in. I found this short very sad. Noelle had been through so much and then had to face mire hardship and stress. Not to tell his parents, Reno had died, when noelle knew how to contact them was inexcusable. This is not an uplifting Christmas book. It is a downer.the editing is very good. Some mild violence. Ages 16 and up. AD
