    Good read

As running (or any part of life for that matter) is as much physical as it is mental, this book discusses and give thoughts on getting through those battles. I enjoyed it and found solutions to a variety obstacles including getting through my own mental obstacles of moving to a higher altitude and dealing with my new atmosphere. I also appreciate the 'zen' writing style as the author doesn't push his thoughts down your throat!

    So good!

This book explains how to not run. Like excuses, for example.s One excuse is lousy weather. Good one, author. My mom ran in RAIN! So that's not much of an excuse. Anyway, this is a fantastic read.

    Sky (kit)

A queen heavy with kits ran up a beach. There were tree just ahead. She broke into the forest. She glanced behind just in time to see a giant wave crash through the trees. She leaped at a tree and clung on with her claws.. the wave rolled over. Pain gripped her and she realized the kits were coming. She climbed higher into a hole. Squeezing in she felt her large stomache get stuck. She tried to get in. From the pushing of the sides of the tree she felt a kit slip out. A splash sounded below and the queen closed her eyes. (The queen) Puddle sucked in her breath and clambered in. There Puddle fell onto her side gasping for breath. Soon three kits were born. The tree turned and a kit fell out. Puddle leaped out rescuing the kit. She climbed back in and took some branches and created a barrier. She went back to the kits. Then named them. "The first tom is Oak for the oak that saved us. The second tom is Wave for the wave that sent us here. The third is Ocean which brought the wave. The she kit is Sky for the oak tree reached up into the sky." Then curling up around them they fell asleep. --LATER-- "Puddle where are we going?" Ocean mewled. "To a better home. Its called RiverClan. Lots of cats like there and we will be safe." Puddle replied. They had been traviling for two days. It had been three moons since they were born. "Ewww! Whats that smell?" Oak asked crinkling up his nose. "Thats probably RiverClan scent fish-breath!" Sky squeaked shoving her brother. Puddle nodded. "We are here." She announced. Then sat down and waited. Soon a patrol passed by. They were brought to the camp. Soon they were in a warm den and well fed. Awhile later they were Clan members. "I now name you Puddlefur, Oakkit, Wavekit, Oceankit and Skykit." Hailstar yowled. The Clan cheered. "Puddlefur Oakkit Wavekit Oceankit Skykit!" Thy puffed up there chests. --Later-- The kits hopped around with excitment. "Mommy bring home WindClan fur! I wanna shred it!" Oakkit squealed. Puddlefur was in a battle patrol. They were attacking WindClan. Though the kits werent sure why they were excited. "Why cant we go?" Complained Wavekit. Only Skykit sat still. She appered lost in thought. "Ill do my best." Puddlefur promised. Soon they headed off. The kits were left under the care of Shimmerpelt. --LATER-- the patrol returned. Each cats pelt was shredded and most where limping. Hailstar headed it. Soon two warriors named Chillfur and Heronflight entered. Between them was Puddlefur. Her body sagged and her tail made a line in the sand. "Moher!" The kits squeaked. They rushed towards her. "Mommy wake up!" Oceankit wailed. (Continued in sky result one)-Skykit
