The steps to take to activate the feature.
1) you enter a Gmail account(you can create one if you don't have one at gmail.com) in the application.
2) you enter and save a specific passphrase in the app to activate an alarm on the tablet (make sure you remember the passphrase exactly).
3) enable the feature(you can disable it), Wifi must be enabled on the tablet. ZEraseWifi will then check UNREAD emails at specific intervals(determined by the user). ZEraseWifi will then compare your incoming messages which must be EXACTLY(make sure there are no extra spaces or different lettering in your incoming message) the same as the passphrase to activate the alarm.
4) if the passphrase matches exactly, the tablet will start an alarm that is a ringtone followed by the speech "Hey, where is my tablet?" The alarm can only be turned off by the user on the app on the device. The alarm changes the sound level to the maximum volume. The alarm is stopped when the owner of the tablet enters his/her password in the ZEraseWifi app.
One time price of $1.99 for a download.

The interface is very minimal, allowing you to set your unlock password and enter your GMail information and trigger message. There are no other options. It would be nice to be able to set more options such as what actions the app will take when it receives the trigger message, how long the alarm will sound, and what alarm sound will be used. In-app documentation would be welcome, as the only documentation seems to be in the catalog entry, above. I don't know if the Nook would allow this, but the ability to hide itself from casual access (i.e. remove the app icon completely) would be an extra level of security. This basic app does what it says it does, so I would recommend it as an extra precaution against loss or theft.
