Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Toni Jourdan
From the day she was born Zoe was destined for bright and sparkly specialness. Daughter to music sensation Lenny Kravitz and talented actress Lisa Bonet, Zoe Isabella Kravitz was born December 1, 1988. In the 1980's her mom was one of the world's most famous TV stars due to her work on The Cosby Show. Lisa and Lenny married in 1987 and Zoe was quick to follow a year later. She shared time in New York and Los Angeles. Her parents divorced five years later and Zoe lived with her mom for a few years and then moved in with her father when she was eleven. She raided their closets to support her eclectic fashion ideas. Zoe attended Rudolph Steiner High School in New York and immediately fit in. She was always outgoing and had many friends. Creative scripts caught her attention and she landed two successful films while she was still in high school, No Reservations and The Brave One. This helped Zoe decide to continue acting at the State University of New York. Acting was not the only creative force coursing through Zoe's blood, she also had a musical streak which she nurtured when she founded the band, Elevator Fight. Box office appeal struck hard when Zoe landed the plum role of Angel Salvadore in X-Men: First Class, which came out in 2010. She was nominated for both the Teen Choice Award and a Scream Award and Rolling Stone magazine named her one of the Hottest Breakout Stars in 2011. Her passions are for tattoos, of which she has over nineteen, and her family. This is a great pop culture bio-book for Zoe and is a quick read with loads of colorful scrapbook-esque photos. The book gives all kinds of insights into a unique girl's uniqueness. Reviewer: Toni Jourdan
