Meet the Author

John Gallagher is the Harvey-Nominated creator, writer, and artist of the Buzzboy graphic novels, and co-creator of Roboy Red graphic novel, Nuts & Bolts. He speaks across the country on the magic of comics, and power of literacy.

John lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, three children, two cats, and, of course, the friendliest golden retriever in the world.

Katie Gallagher is eleven years old, and is a fifth grader at Pinecrest School in Northern Virginia. Her interests include reading, theater, singing, dancing - and even more reading!

She loves chocolate, Harry Potter, and being a part of the K-Kids Club at her school, because it gives her a chance to help her community.

This is her first published work.

A note From John & Katie:
Zoey and Ketchup began as bedtime stories John told to Katie when she was three. It wasn't long after adopting our dog, Sky, that Katie quickly began adding her own ideas to the stories.

When Katie's younger brother Jack was born, we added "Zack." Don't be surprised if Zoey gets another sibling, if youngest brother Will has any say about it. We hope you like this book, and can't wait to tell you more adventures of the little girl with a big imagination, and the dog with a ketchup-colored tip on his tail.
