    Disappointed....

i was really looking forward to this book. Litterally counting down the days waiting for it to be released. I really love the series up to this book. I really like mr tufos writing style and the humor he puts into his stories, but this book really fell short of the mark. It's like going to pizza hut, ordering a pizza, and ending up with a taco. Half of the book was what I paid for. You know zombies, eliza, thomas, etc. the other half of the book was about micheal talbots life prior to the zombie break out. his and pauls college days, and a concert they went to. I'm not being critical, or mean. Mr tufo I can't wait for the next book, I absolutely love the series, but with this one you pulled a talbot and got off on erant details. I feel awful for leaving a bad review, but if I lie I dont do anyone any good.....fellow readers or the author.

    Hmmmm....

Slighly disappointed. I enjoy this series but i found myself skipping over pages. In past books he went and did back stories, but i swear the back stories was half the book. As soon as you got to something intense there was a long back story. Like paul and the cats. I wanted to feel something about his tragic death but nothing. I know i will read the next one but i hope he comes better then this one.

    Must Read

Found the first book in the series when I was looking for freebies. Read it and have been hooked since. All I want to do now is shake Mr. Tufo till the next book falls out of him.

Fast forwarded thru a lot of this book. Too much filler about his old life stories before the zombies. No where near the other books. I won't be getting anymore in this series if there are any.

    Too much flashback

I must have skipped a 1/4 of the book because the flahbacks that didn't have much or anything to do with the story line were just too much. (Page fillers?) I've enjoyed the series so far and will most likely will buy the next one, but please, write a prequel AFTER the last zombie story. That's what we paid for!

    Disappointing

After reading the other 4 books this last one was a let down. Its as if Tufo just wanted to be done with the series and characters.

    great books

Was waiting to write a review until I read all he had out, because one bad book can screw up the whole lot lol. This one was probably the worst one, but still really good. I think hes having a hard time wrapping up the story, but I dont mind too much. The writing is amazingly good, but the one problem I have is all of the add ons in the story. Its like going to a resteraunt and ordering a steak, the meat is amazing but I could have done without all the sauce and garnish lol. All in all, these books go well with my zombie obbsession that freaks my husband out lol. Ill see it through till the end, I heart Talbot to much not to ;)

    Disapointing

Loved all of the zombie fall out books until this one, it seemed rushed and overall a disapointment. No offense meant Mr. Tufo. Doubtfull I will purchase the next book in the series, this story is dragging on too long. However, Mark Tufo is , in my opinon, an excellent writer.

    Addictiing

I have become addicted to these characters and this story. This book seems to be shorter then the previous books, and it definately leaves an opening for yet another sequal.

    Highly recommend!!!

This isn't just a zombie story with blood and guts. This story is about survivors, their relationships and struggles in a world that is falling apart around them. I'm not a fan of 'zombie' stories and stumbled across Zombie Fallout. I read the first one based on the outstanding reviews. I was hooked on the series. It's impossible to not fall in love with these characters.

I'm anxiously awaiting the next segment. Tufo is an outstanding writer.

Read it like BT on a TBone Steak! (Ready for another helping!)

I couldn't wait for this book to come out - got it online early before B&N had it and then uploaded it to my Nook. I couldn't put it down! This time though, I found the side-bar stories a little disconcerting as they happened just when something urgent occurred in the main story. I got a little impatient having to hear a seemingly unrelated story while the fate of 'my friends' was unknown. But after a few paragraphs, I would always get sucked into 'Talbot'sTake' on a great memory and ALMOST forget about the cliff hanger I left behind! Mr. Tufo makes it worth it every time.
I will say that l wasn't as comfortable with the ending of the book this time. It's just because I love these characters and did not get a resolution for all and for some, I'm actually praying that I read it wrong! Mr. Tufo- Say it isn't so!!! (I won't give away what, but he knows!)
From an avid reader of zombie fiction, this author is the best and you will jones for the next installment like I did. So, get this one now, and prepare to sit on the edge of your seat but be careful, because you'll be laughing your ass off!

THE WORST IN THE SERIES SO FAR

I have read every single book in the ZOMBIE FALLOUT series and had high expectations for installment number five. I don't know what happened. The story just petered out. Mark Tufo has, in all the novels I've read, had a habit of rambling on and on. There are major grammar and punctuation problems, like sentences just running into each other in a confusung way. However, because of the author's humor and storytelling I still stuck with the stories and greatly enjoyed them. It wasn't so with number five. If I could I'd give it a two and a half star rating. WHY was the concert story in there?

The main man, Mike Talbot, is such an endearing character, he is sarcastic, yet caring, scared, but brave, he doesn't like to leave a man behind, and he isn't afraid to give the middle finger to the otherworldly bad guys, this is an amazing series and all of the books are great, if you like Zombie Fallout, check out Indian Hill, nearly the same characters but in completely different settings, think of it as an alternate universe!
Also, Book of Riley isn't bad, its from the viewpoint of the bulldog, but still manages to be a pretty awesome book, even without the play by play from Talbot
