Nicola Tedman and Sarah Skeate awaken their inner George A. Romero and focus their creative attention on the malleable, fuzzy softness of felt inside Zombie Felties: How to Raise 16 Gruesome Felt Creatures from the Undead. Inside, crafters will find instructions for more than 15 zombie creatures, including a Romero-esque Day of the Dead Zombie. Additional Zombie Feltie projects include:

* Zombie Bride

* Zombie Puppy

* Vampire Zombie

* Zombie Bunny

* Folklore Zombie

* Zombie Surfer, and more!

With only the most basic of sewing skills, crafters can raise their own macabre multitude of Zombie Feltie creations from the undead with an average construction time of less than one hour per pattern. Each design includes a full-color photograph of the finished project, as well as an illustrated, instructional overview, pattern diagrams, and a convenient list of everything needed to complete the project.

Zombie Feltie friends can be customized with limitless embellishments and they make great Halloween decorations, party favors, finger puppets, key rings, and even mobile phone mascots. Get ready to shudder as you stitch!

Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
Forget decapitation; the best way to disarm a zombie is to turn him into a super-cute, lovably fuzzy felt creature. Authors Nicola Tedman and Sarah Skeate help you accomplish that task with step-by-step instructions on how to craft not one, but sixteen huggable felt zombies. Even the most trepidatious will warm up to the Undead when they eye your adorable Zombie Bride or that Zombie Bunny that you can't help but pet. Bedroom conversation pieces. (Hand-selling tip: Each of these craft monsters takes only an hour to raise from the dead.)

    Adorable Zombies!

    This is a great book. I've made the Day of the Dead Zombie for a friend's birthday and it was easy and fun. I'm planning on making many more for gifts for some of my weirder friends, as well as for myself. If you love zombies and crafts, or if you yourself are a crafty zombie, this book is for you!

    Felt fun!

    Zombie Felties are perfect for Halloween and since they are small, you really only need a small amount of felt and thread to make them, plus some unused buttons, beads or sequins to embellish them. Basic sewing and embroidery instructions are included and Zombie Felties actually use very simple techniques, so you can create them in a very short time. There are very complete step-by-step directions, which are accompanied by full color illustrations drawn in a clear and quirky style that are really easy to follow along with. There are sixteen zombie friends to make, but the designs offer many possibilities for combining different elements to make a whole lot more! Familiar zombies like the Classic Zombie or Vampire Zombie are included, as well as the more unconventional, like the Zombie Surfer or Baby Zombie. There's even the decidedly feminine Zombie Fairy or Zombie Bride. I thought the Day of the Dead feltie girl was really sweet (for a zombie!), with her floral eyes, beaded skeleton and holding her heart on a string. If you need a place to house your Zombie Felties when they aren't in use, the author even includes a coffin that can be copied and constructed from card stock for them to take their rest in. Zombie Felties is the perfect book to learn how to produce the most adorable zombies ever!

    Zombie Felties

    It took me exactly one month to get this book from Barnes and Noble. With tons of phone calls to customer service and Corporate it finally arrived with a TON of excuses as to why it was not delivered promptly. I am pretty much discusted with Barnes and Noble at this time. The book is cute and has some really cute dolls in it. I gives a variety of dolls to work on and if everything is sew on instead of glued. Children can enjoy them to. Before you Order be sure you are going to get it as waiting a month is not good customer service.

    very cute

    my store manager showed this to me one day knowing i like to do stuff like this, and i fell in love i will say that it is really good for people who are just starting to get into felt and the ideas are creative but i would have liked to see more involved creatures when it came to the clothing and over all apearences of the pieces.
