“And the dead shall rise…”

Well, they certainly do when you’re looking after the dying. One minute your patients are breathing, the next they’re trying to take a bite out of you. We have protocol for that, but only once they turn. However, protocol on nightshift doesn’t count all the time…maybe…

It takes a special kind of person to handle these situations, and I don’t mean just the Zombie Squad – sorry, the politically correct term is the Walker Assistance Team. I’m talking about the nurses, orderlies, and security. We’re trained in not only healing the sick, but dealing with the dead. Multi-tasking, I call it. So don’t worry people, we have the situation in…er…hand!

    Great SHORT story!

This is a very short story. It is 40ps. Great read, very funny! Check it out, only a $1 so can't go wrong!

Spoiler: Story was a laugh from begining to end. I loved how "Walkers" have to be treated politically correct, & all the laws & red tape the poor staff has to go thru as these "Walkers" try to eat them! Poor DR. Harper being turned into a Walker. Just goes to show they really needed more staff. I Loved the way they have a code to punch in before they can even get to the axes & then only have 4 I think. Only thing that I didn't like was these Walkers have to be burned. Sounds like a lot more work, I like the zombies u can stab, shoot or kick in the brian & they die. Reason I didn't give it a 5 rating was because I would have like a little more information about the "Enhcanters". I have an idea, but it would be nice to have that explained a little better. Great book, Ms. Verdenius needs to write more about her hospital.

Zombie Hospital is a snarky short story about a pair of nurses at a low-quality hospital struggling to deal with a zombie uprising. It's a fun read, but abbreviated, like the opening chapter of a longer tale. There is a lot of zombie material out there, but this one is solid and funny and worth the $.99 for budding ebook collections.
