More About This Book

Overview

All Joe Jefferson wants to do is go fishing. But little does he know, three days later he'll be leading a ragtag group of survivors through a zombie-infested town. A mortician's skin treatment has done its job a little too well. Aunt Millie makes a miraculous recovery and goes on a murderous rampage, to the amazement of the mourners. Friends, relatives, the mortician, and even the televangelist, Reverend Purswell, are left to sort out the leftovers. Nobody knows what the mess is all about until confronted with the exponentially born again. As more of the recently deceased munch on the town, the police have one idea about how to confront the zombies, and the Reverend Purswell another. While everyone is engaged with tom-foolery, Officer Sandra Anderson and Joe get to the bottom of the horror, one grave encounter at a time. Not much of a first date. Will they ever get to a simple dinner and movie?

    Funny and frightening.

You see a lot of films and television shows about zombies, but none of them do what this author does with the genre. For once, we get inside the head of the zombie and experience the hunger and confusion of the monsters with often-hilarious results. But never fear horror fans, the gore factor in this book is high and the fast-paced story is packed with thrills that don't let up, even to the very end. If you like a healthy dose of humor with your horror, check out this book.

Poor, Joe, all he wanted to do was go fishing and later get a date with the hot cop. Funny and gory at times, I really had a good time with this one.

    I Also Recommend:

ITS OK..IF NOTHING BETTER TO DO.

THIS BOOK IS OK AT BEST. ITS NOT WORTH $9.99, MAYBE HALF OF THAT. ITS STARTED OUT COOL I GUESS, BUT STAYED A SLOW READ THROUGHOUT. THE TIME LINE OF THE STORY IS 2 TO 3 DAYS, BUT IT FELT LIKE A WEEK OR SO. THE EPIDEMIC STAYED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE STORY. IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO FINISH THE BOOK, WHERE AS I USUALLY READ ONE WITHIN 2 DAYS IF IT REALLY GETS A HOLD OF ME. GOOD STORY LINE, GOOD PLOT, CHARACTORS ARE OK, BUT EVERYONE KNOWS THAT IF A ZOMBIE OUTBREAK OCCURED IT WOULD BE EPIDEMIC WITHIN HOURS, NOT A FEW DAYS LATER. IT WAS INTERESTING THE WAY THE AUTHOR GAVE A BRIEF ACCOUNT OF WHAT GOES THROUGH A ZOMBIES HEAD...ITS THINKING PROCESS. THE ENDING WAS POOR.
