Zoomi and Zoe and the Sibling Situation
Princess in Black meets Monsters, Inc. in a zany, heartwarming new series for early readers 4-8! Written by the acclaimed Corey Ann Haydu with sweet, quirky illustrations by Anne Appert, Zoomi and Zoe explores the wonder and anxiety of life's first big transitions with warmth, whimsy, and plenty of silliness.

Zoomi and Zoe were proud to conquer their first Tricky Turnaround together, but the second book in the series brings more changes for the new friends: Zoomi and Zoe are both going to be big siblings!

Zoomi thought her family was pretty great as it was, but then her parents brings home a new baby. (In Zoomi’s humble opinion, Fizzle is very boring and kind of rude.) Meanwhile, Zoe’s dads have a wonderful surprise: Zoe is going to be a big sister, too! But Zoe’s new brother doesn’t seem to like her very much. Why does he keep crying when Zoe is around?

Fortunately, Zoomi and Zoe have a plan: Baby School! With help from Izly and Doug, these unlikely friends are positive they can teach their new siblings how to be better babies—starting with how to sing the alpha-bing, and how to appreciate their big sisters. But teaching Baby School isn’t as easy as it sounds. Can Zoomi and Zoe come to terms with the changes in their families, and even learn a thing or two about these loud, smelly creatures along the way?

Enter through the Pineapple Portal to join Zoomi and Zoe in their second adventure, and keep an eye out for the other books in this zany, hilarious new series for emerging readers: The Tricky Turnaround (book one), and a third title releasing in 2026!
