    Confusing

    I bought the book for my sister and her 3 year old daughter. I thought it would be entertaining for the both of them but turned out to be more work and frustration and it should have been. The instructions were not very precise and the diagrams where not very detailed. The colorful quality paper that came with the kit was the best part.

    Making a paper airplane

    So, my daughter asked me to teach her how to make a paper airplane. I was able to assemble only the most pedestrian airplane. Searching the web provided me the most complicated and cumbersome designs I've ever seen.

    I found this item on a trip to BN and it has provided hours of entertainment!

    Great information but not easy to use

    Bought this book to do with my son. I found the airplanes vary hard to make. They don't have any simple ones and the instructions don't go with the paper provided in the kit. There is a lot of very interesting information about planes and the science of flight.

    Frustrating Instead of Challenging.

    A complete set. Attractive photos. Instructions seem simple but when you go to put a plane together you can run into trouble quite quickly. The illustrations are not exactly step by step. It is difficult to interpenetrate what you are supposed to do by looking at the photos so if you miss a step the project is ruined. I suggest using plain paper ( Printer paper works great) to practice on.
    Proved to be *very* frustrating for my 12 year old and difficult for my 15 year old. The more complicated designs of planes - forget about it. Needs more detailed step by step directions - which would make for a very hefty instructional book. A challenge for kids is great - however, this was just frustrating with little pay off.

    It was a great idea and would be wonderful if the step by step instructions were more detailed. The kit has a great presentation. I give it 2 1/2 stars. Would not recommend it for Kids under 13.
