A Firing Offense
by George P. Pelecanos
In his first novel, Pelecanos introduces recurring hero Nick Stefanos -- a salesman for Nutty Nathan's electronics and wannabe sleuth. In this debut adventure, Nick risks his already shaky position at work to locate a stockboy who has suddenly turned up missing. "Pelecanos is a fresh, new, utterly hardboiled voice," raved The Washington Post. "A Firing Offense is full of virtuoso scenes of imaginative sex and substance abuse, suspenseful action, and brooding meditation on a newly lost generation. A contemporary classic."

From Page to Screen

His novel Right as Rain is currently in development with director Curtis Hanson (L.A. Confidential, Wonder Boys) and Warner Bros.
