Advice for the Aspiring

She reveals, "The most heartening thing I’ve ever heard from an editor, when she was asked, 'What are publishers looking for? Are they looking for big commercial books about war and submarines and socialites?' was her answer: 'I’m looking to fall in love on the first page.'"
