If you’re one of the millions of people who first heard Fifth Harmony on the second season of The X Factor, then watched them skyrocket to fame, sign a deal with Syco Music, win MTV’s 2014 Artist To Watch award, and become the #1 most Influential X Factor USA contestants ever, you were so ready for February 3, 2015. That’s the day pop princesses Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen, Camila Cabello, and Lauren Jauregui dropped their debut studio album, Reflection. With hit singles “Boss” and “Sledgehammer,” both released in 2014, it stirred up intense fan love and will probably earn the quintet a spot on the Billboard 200.
On February 6, Fifth Harmony came to LA’s Barnes & Noble at The Grove to sign CDs for 1,200 fans. According to Community Relations Manager Lita Weissman, from the moment the girls tumbled out of the limo, emotions were high. “I don’t know if I’ve seen so many tears since I hosted Madonna,” Lita said.
The fans, who were greeted with hugs and smiles from the down-to-earth girls, seemed to know everything about the pop group (in accordance with Camila Cabello’s fruit preferences, her fans brought her notes written on bananas!) and showered them with stuffed animals, flowers, and candy.
