I love this cookbook. The recipes are so easy to follow and they taste great! There all lots of little extras in this book. I have the paperback version and I just take it with me to the store whenever I go.

This cookbook is one of the best I have ever tried. There are tons of easy everyday recipes, not fancy gourmet stuff that you wouldn't really cook. Just about everything I have cooked out of it has turned out perfectly. It's great for beginner cooks because it has lots of tips as well as definitions of cooking terms, measurements, and explanations.

One of my "go back to" cookbooks. Anytime I need a recipe, I always start here.

This is the best general reference cookbook there is. Every kitchen needs one, it has all the basics - how to hard boil eggs, make fudge, mash potatoes, etc. with easy to follow instructions. Love it!

One of the classics that is good for every kitchen to have as a jumping off point.

A great basic cookbook. This is the one I turn to when I need a basic recipe for baked goods, family favorites, and general American foods like pizza, pasta, muffins, cakes, cookies, ground beef presentations, fish dishes and so on. Nothing innovative, but a lot of family foods. Nutrition info is provided. The ring binding is appreciated in the kitchen.

I have a few of these lying around. I don't think I've ever used one. The reason I keep buying more of these ringbound cookbooks at estate/garage sales is because I keep finding Grandma's/Auntie's secret trove of handwritten favorites in them. It's probably unethical of me to keep them, but I frankly can't help myself. To quote Debbie Reynolds in In and Out: "It's like heroin".

An excellent basic cookbook. A must for anyone who even attempts to cook.

I bought this book after one of my friends recommended it. It is definately THE staple in my kitchen. Easy recipes, and simple ingredients. Quick meals as well as elaborate ones. No one should be without it!

I like cookbooks with lots of photographs, and this certainly has them. This is a wonderful, easy-to-read, well-organized cookbook with 'real people' food.

This cookbook actually uses ingredients that I have in my kitchen! And they include recipes that normal people would eat. I love it!

I own an earlier version of this book and it's fantastic. It's my staple cookbook. Just about every basic dish you could hope to cook is in this book, plus some really great not so basic dishes. I bought this book for my best friend knowing that she needed a reliable cookbook to start off her kitchen.

Denise Brandon June 15/¿00 Dear Sir/Mme; I have been using the recipes from Better Homes and Gardens cookbook for 20 years and have consistently found them reliable and delicious. In October ¿99 I decided to opt for a more compact cook book and bought your eleventh edition soft cover, Better Homes and Gardens New Cook book, published by Meredith corp. Des Moines, Iowa at a Barnes & Nobles bookstore in Seattle, USA. The recipes are just as great, but the book quality is very disappointing. After about six months use the pages of my cook book started falling out and have now completely separated from the spine. I might add that this is not the result of rough handling, as I am 46 yrs old and the only one that used it for cooking in our home for my husband and myself. I now realize that I should have stayed with your binder style recipe book, but I felt you would appreciate knowing that your usual quality is lacking in this new soft cover edition. Sincerely; Denise Brandon
