First I want to state that James Prince clearly and undisputedly defeating Don King truly showed me his tenacity not only as a businessman, but a strong boxing manager. This chapter is something I will carry away with me for my own personal journey. The experience shed light to a young man facing challenges from predecessors and brought me laughing out of the darkness. His emphasis on remaining professional during the ups and downs as wells as the turns his legacy has gone through is refreshing knowing he always stayed true to his vision. Listening to his story as a hustler made me subconsciously pause for 10 minutes and just listen to the similarities between what he fought through and what opposition I face in my chosen path. As soon as i read the book from cover to cover I had an urge to go down south and visit FiFth Ward, see where he came from, relish back on the whole non kosher battles he fought and just grab a water from a local store to give back to his soil. Sounds weird but as a straight talking man myself I would love to show my appreciation in that way. I'm here on the left coast so no telling when I will have the chance to do that. The Art and Science of Respect is a greatly written book, the bravery he showed by unselfishly admitting that his formal education was limited is something our culture needs. Thank you from a Vallejo Kid with Goals and the drive to achieve them. Lastly I could relate to his constant search for a great opportunity, which ironically can be to blame for such a late review. Pick up the book!
