I hope Mr Dershowitz reads this as I am not sure he gets too many non hateful messages. Book was insightful into mind of a rational thinking liberal. If he could only be the "Merlin" of liberals and cast a spell over others to speak rationally about items of interest, the unrest could soften considerably. All in all a book worth reading no matter your views.

I was skeptical when I first saw this book, but I find Dershowitz’s interviews to be compelling so I wanted to read more. This book is excellent. It is a compilation of many essays and interviews, but together form a compelling argument for a neutral view toward protecting the constitution and civil rights. I don’t claim to have the wisdom of Professor Dershowitz, but I have been concerned about how our current political climate is “poisoning the water” for the future and perhaps setting us up for an even worse climate later. Professor Dershowitz explains in direct and blunt terms why this is potentially the case and - whether you are conservative or liberal - why this should concern you. He even offers prescriptions for changes that can made. If you want to better understand what is happening and why, read this book!
