I got introduced to this book when my coach at my local CrossFit gym was starting this program for all members. At first I was hesitant, because I'm not a big fan of fad diets, but I figured I'd give it a close look. As I read the book, however, this is NOT a fad diet. It's really a guide on how to reset your metabolism. The book is well written and thought of, and provides scientific research to back up the claims. The book provides detailed guidelines of what to eat, when to eat them, and why. At the time of this review, I'm in Day 5 of my reset. So far, I feel great. Sleep has been very good. I wake up refreshed. I'm more focused and have energy during the day. I lost 3 lbs, even though that wasn't my goal. I look more lean when looking in the mirror, and my belly fat that I can't seem to shed is looking more slimmed down. I still eat big meals, expect in the morning when I only drink a shake and cranberry juice. It's totally not a calorie deficit program, as you can still each big for lunch and dinner, and even eat a before-bedtime snack. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to reset their metabolism.
