This book of 14 quilts starts right off with a pattern. A colorful photo of the project is followed by a blurb about the project and the finished quilt and block sizes. A section called “Planning” is new to me but gives very helpful information and tips. The material and cutting list is easy to read and the written instructions include graphics so you can be sure what you are sewing is what you should be doing. An exploded assembly diagram shows what sections to attach together. Templates needed are at full size. In the finishing section, it describes how the quilt was quilted. The themes of the quilts include brightly colored, oriental, modern, flowers and even a Christmas one. This is definitely a book that will hold your attention all year long, especially if you change a brightly colored one to fall colors – then you will have something for all seasons.
