I have used this journal for almost a full year now (started mine in Feb.) and it is fantastic! I like the open layout that lets you choose what to record, and it is so nice to be able to flip through it and see patterns of what worked and what didn't. For instance, I've used an online running log for a few years but it wasn't until I started using this log that I made the connection that "doing an interval or tempo workout 2 days after long run" = "my knee hurts". I don't think I ever would have made that connection looking at one logged workout at a time on a screen. And more specific to this particular journal, I really like the exercises/writing prompts that get you thinking about your goals and how to approach them in a healthy way. I had never considered the value of having process-oriented goals before, but the authors explain it well so I have been working on shifting my thinking. And I loved the section on tips for relaxing and being confident before a race; I have been putting those into practice too! And overall the journal is just so motivational. You can tell that the authors really love both running and sharing that with others. So it's an awesome journal. I purchased the purple version to use when I run out of space in this one. And even though this log is meant for running, I actually think it would be useful for anything you might want to improve at! Other sports, or learning an instrument or language...you could easily set goals and track your progress for those things too in this journal.
