Birth Without Fear: The Judgment-Free Guide to Taking Charge of Your Pregnancy, Birth, and Postpartum based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
This book covers every topic from conception to postpartum with a loving, inclusive tone that is easy to read, informative, and truly inspirational. A lot of books will tell you that "this will happen then" or "that will happen at x-amount of weeks," but January Harshe constantly sounds the horn of variations of normal, that there is no one way to be pregnant, no one-size-fits-all, right way to birth a baby, and best of all, that there is no shame in feeling like being a new mom is hard, challenging, and sometimes depressing and lonely. There are sections in every chapter dedicated to the partners, all written by January's husband, Brandon. They are short and sweet and to the point, and often funny. There are birth plan templates for every kind of birth--hospital, cesarean, home, or birth center, an in-depth glossary of terms so you won't be clueless as to what this means or what that acronym stands for, and a comprehensive list of resources at the end of the book for whatever life situation you may find yourself needing help with during your pregnancy and/or postpartum.
