## Four dollars is too much to ask for something that I read in 45 minutes (apprx. 72 pages). That was hugely disappointing. As was this book. There was no character development at all. It felt like we came in at the middle of the story. No build up, no dialogue, no sexual tension. The hero and heroine had met 6 weeks before the story started so we missed the whole "getting to know each other". By page 25, the hero says I love you and I was like: Huh?? Generally I'm a big fan of Lexxie's work, but this one missed the mark for me. The sex was hot, hence the 2nd star.

If you’ve read Lexxie’s Heart of Fame series like I have, because we all know that I’m a die-hard fan, then you might have noticed that our hero in this new Outback Skies series made an appearance in Blackthorne. There he melted all of our hearts when he stepped aside for Josh and Caitlin to live happily ever after, and I think that we were all hoping Matt would find his someone special very soon. Well guys, I have to tell you that Lexxie totally delivered the perfect girl for him with Natacha. Both of them are escaping from the lives that they left behind when they came to the Outback, but they find an undeniable connection that brings them together for some blistering hot moments. I’m always so happy to see Lexxie carry her side characters into her other books; because she always writes such compelling characters you can’t help but want their stories too. The other aspect of her writing that I love so much is just how amazing she is at writing sexual tension between her characters. It’s a serious gift that she has, and I think everyone who reads her books would agree with me. Overall, I enjoyed this is a sexy, little novella and it left me craving so much more in only the way that Lexxie can. When you add together one sexy as sin doctor and one tight-pant, sassy pilot, the chemistry between these two will undoubtedly leave you breathless. *I received a review copy from the publisher/author via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review*

As posted on The Smutty Kitty reviewed by KittyKelly 3.5 out of 5 Licks Let's start with the fact that there is a very brief appearance by a character named Kitty.  Now I have no idea if this Kitty is meant to be for me, but I always like to think it is.  lol  Ok back to the book.  Matt is a side character from Lexxie's very popular Heart of Fame series.  You don't need to read the book he is a part of to enjoy this story though, I haven't read it yet and I still enjoyed it.  It always makes me happy to see residual characters get their stories told so I'm glad Matt found his happiness.  Tash quite literally has some heart stopping moments in this novella, but thanks to Matt she comes through relatively unscathed.  Her heart is a bit of a different story but Matt is willing to help her put that back together too.  Since this is a novella there isn't a lot of time for a lot of character development or back story, but Lexxie manages to tell us enough for me to route for the characters which is always important.  The sex between them is hot and takes place outside in the middle of nowhere, but someone still manages to show up and eventually end the fun.  All in all this is a cute, quick read that will leave you breathless and waiting for the next book in this series.  I can't wait to see where we go next!
