I've never in my life read in my own time. The reason i always read was because i was either forced to or my grade depended on it. Well this book "Call Me By My Name" by John Ed Bradley, kept me busy in my free time I found it hard to stop reading it. It was so impactful and overall is a great book. ( Quick summary of the book, no spoiler) It wall starts when Rodney meets Tater or Tatum, they spend year staring and bumping into each other before they started talking. Take in mind the setting is in the 1970s where integration is still in place. They integrated the schools the year Rodney an Tatum where in high school. Rodney has a twin sister which than seems to build a romantic relation ship with Tatum . Tatum was at first cornerback ( a non impactful position) to to his skin color. Later throughout the story Tater get put in the quarterback position. He has to find a way to succeed both in the winning football season and in the relation ship with Angie (Rodney sister). Rodney Bets friend was Tater but him and his dad did not want them to have a relationship. The story is very impactful and is worth the time spent reading.
This book is full of entertainment. The best I have ever read!!
