A hysterical book that's perfect reading during a mani/pedi or trip to the spa. The illustrations are SO SO SO cute!

This is one funny and yet a sweet Chic-tionary I ever read! You not only learn some words that no other dictionary would teach you, but you'll probably have a little laugh with the hilarious definition to each of the words inside! Chic-tionary by Stephanie Simons and Malia Carter is an excellent book! I think I found it more humorous and interesting with the word that is put together inside. Some I have heard of, but most are very new to me! However, each is organized in alphabetical order and beside the word is the definition. It definitely is for the fashionista or those who want to spark conversation in a humorous way. I think the few words that really are interesting to use in everyday vocab is the words Tyra Banks used in Top Model, Smize or the other judge, André Leon Tally with his word dreckitude. These are words I've heard and have been created to represent style and fashion or other meanings that just make sense to the one who created it. However, in away these words get popular and honestly are well known by the one who started it, sort of makes it easy to remember the person who started the word before it becomes the next fad to say! Though, I think all in all that is a great way to get noticed and use words that represent what you think someone may look like or what you think that fashion and style may represent. This really is a neat Chic-tionary!

Cutest gift ever. I laughed out loud reading all of the style and beauty definitions before wrapping this up and gifting it for secret Santa at my fashion office. XO

I had read All's Fair In Love And Wardrobe (and loved it!) so when I spotted this one in People StyleWatch magazine, I immediately ordered a copy. It's much smaller than the first book (the first one is very large) and comes with a cute little jacket that's illustrated to perfection. Inside it's packed with the kind of humor you might expect from a blog like Man Repeller or Simon Doonan. Very funny fashion every woman can relate to.

So witty! I cracked up over the A-Z entries that pretty much sum up my entire life. What makes it really fun is that there is a lot of lingo you've never heard of before, made up words that should totally be in the dictionary. A well-dressed wordsmith's dream book!

If you love Gretchen Weiners, you will love this marvelous language of made-up and real style words for describing the daily ins and outs of being a girl. I need an accessorcism, stat, hehe.

This book is seriously brilliant. It takes an unusual mind to come up with a whole new language that speaks to fashion lovers. I've started to use words like "accessorcism" and "obsessorize" in my everyday life haha.

So this is like the Urban Dictionary of fashion lingo, equal parts made up and real words. Do you remember DailyCandy lexicon? This is like that, but I thought, way better. It too is illustrated. I feel like I have a new vocabulary! :)
