For collectors of Lladro, the attempt to find information on its brands can be frustrating. Lladro jealously guards the right to write about its products, and Peggy is one of the few (if not the only one) to break through that barrier. An expert in the field, with her own website dedicated to Spanish porcelain, this is her second book on the subject (the first, which you can still find listed here at B&N, is no longer in print). While the first concentrated solely on the core Lladro line, both active and retired, this book features retired pieces only, but also explores Lladro's other lines, such as the popular Nao, in addition to the core collection. This information has been sought-after for years by avid collectors, and Peggy's book provides it in an informative and entertaining fashion. Of course, I may be slightly biased - some of my own collection is featured among the photos! But seriously, this is the first time that Lladro has allowed anyone to write about its other lines, so this is a significant work for collectors.
