My son makes me read this to him over and over again. He yells no to all the questions. I agree it is a very simple book but it is perfect for my son who is not that thrilled to read. So when he wants me to read this to him multiple times, I am thrilled at any book that has that affect on him. And of course, we love the art.

Duck and goose are friends who work together to find a pumpkin, like the one Thistle, another friend, has. They look everywhere: under a pile of leaves, up a tree, in a hallow log... and, finally, in a pumpkin patch. "Duck and Goose Find a Pumpkin" is one in series of board books about the adorable duo. Great for toddlers, the book is comprised of few words, and simple ones at that, which is appropriate for a board book. The pictures are also fairly simple but in the most beautiful autumn colors, perfect this time of year. Also, the story is repetitive and predictable, so it could be a useful learning for children who are just becoming familiar with words and reading. Additionally, it's subtly funny, which adults reading this with their kids can appreciate.

Going strictly by my year old -Awesome! She's loved this book for a while now. She reads it over and over. She even "retells" the story when we're driving in the car. She gas such great inflection fir the 'no' pages. Love it!

My niece loves this book. I got it for her as a Halloween gift. She was 12 months at the time. She is almost 15 months now and she "reads" it to her bear at least once a day

Like I said, cute drawings but definitely geared toward a baby just being introduced to books. The words are too few and flow poorly. Not fun to read and my 15 month old lost interest right away.
