As first broadcast in Ireland in March 2007, the police drama series Single-Handed begins with Sergeant Jack Driscoll (Owen McDonnell) returning home to Ireland's western coast, and assuming as a position as the main instrument of law enforcement in the community. From week to week, Jack must contend with issues and obstacles unique to Irish small-town life - including earning and maintaining a firm grip on the respect of the locals. All three feature-length episodes from Series one appear in this set, with mysteries including a child's abduction, a teenager's drwoning death and the slaying of a local immigrant.
