Was disappointed that this novel did not continue where Snakecharm left off. Expected more of a transition into this novel, but none was given; very abrupt and a partial let-down. I feel that this series could have been more. I will still read any upcoming novels; maybe they will shed some light on the empty parts of the series.

This volume of the series takes place about 20 years after Snakecharm. It focuses on Nicias, a falcon, who is a Wyvern of Honor to Oliza, daughter and heir to Zand and Danica - the characters of the first two books.Nicas finds that he is coming into his falcon magic and must go to Ahnmik - the land of the falcons - to learn to control it or have it bound. At Ahnmik, he finds a society far differenct from that of the snakes and birds, and doesn't necessarily like it.Falcondance is a credible addition to the series, but there was something lacking. Even so, it is well worth reading.

I thought this book was good.Nicias has to learn about his past heritage and possibally his future. In this story he is having the same dream over and over of how everything he knows and loves is commoing to an end. In this book nicias will have to leave the one place he feels the most confussion about Wyvern's Court and go to the one he has been raised to fear the most Anhmik. To learn what these dreams mean and possibally give up his magic for ever
