About the Author

Jeff Malpas is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Tasmania where he is also Head of the School of Philosophy and Director of the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Ethics. He has been a visiting scholar at Universities in the United States and Sweden as well as a Humboldt Research Fellow at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. Professor Malpas is the author of Place and Experience (Cambridge, 1999) and co-editor of Gadamer's Century (MIT, 2000)
