Highlander's Claim by Joanne Wadsworth is a wondeful story that I have read. This is book number eleven in this wonderful series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about shifters. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It was hard to engage with the story at the very beginning. It was uninteresting. Then the action picked up and now our heroine, Ailith, was trying to save the life of the hero Hunter. Based on her visions, he dies in battle when he travels to the past with her. She is in his present and refuses to acknowledge that he is her mate. When she does decide they are mates, she travels to the past to bond. The bonding is stronger closer to the battle that supposed to take his life. The battle was anticlimactic. It was not as exciting as I expected it could be based on Ailith's visions. I have read over 10 of Joanne Wadsworth's books and have really enjoyed them. This one disappoints. I am SO enjoying this series!! If you love strong heroines, sexy Highlander heroes, fantasy, magic, steamy romance, humour and more, then you'll love this book. Ailith, the granddaughter of the King of the Fae, travels in time to the 21st century to try to protect her future mate from getting killed by the enemy. She's had visions of his death so she needs to make him understand that he cannot go back in time with her, less he be killed but Warrior shifter Hunter Matheson refuses to leave her side. I loved their humorous exchanges, had me giggling out loud! lol There is never a dull moment in this story and I read it all in one shot, just couldn't put it down. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Highlander's Claim: Time Travel Romance (The Matheson Warriors Book 2) by Joanne Wadsworth is a great Time Travel Romance. While book 2, I feel, it can read as a stand alone. This is the journey of Ailith, the granddaughter of the King of Faes and Hunter Matheson, a warrior shifter. Ailith travels through time, when needed to help her half-blooded Earthbound kind. Ailith, has the ability to see visions of war and destruction before it unfolds. Now death is coming for one of the fae warriors so she is called to protect, but in order to save him, she must first figure out who he is, and which time he hails from. Enter, Hunter Matheson, a warrior shifter. Hunter is intrigued by Ailith. She arrives through a portal into the twenty-first century, not from his world, but from the year 1211. Slow to begin with, to me, but picks up quickly. Well written with great world building from the past to the future. The characters are enjoyable. While a Time Travel adventure, the characters feel realistic and believable. The plot was intriguing, very interesting, captivating and flows seamlessly and effortlessly. I was held in awe after the first few pages. Ailith and Hunter, certainly belong together, rather soul mates or not. They make a unique and interesting couple. Sparks fly off the pages from their first meeting, the reader can feel the chemistry between them. The danger, consequences, drama, romance, chemistry, feuds, war, suspense and mystery, brings HIGHLANDER'S CLAIM, to a climatic conclusion. This book has so much to offer readers, not just Time Travel fans, but fans of Highlanders, as well. The Highlands are filled with myths, folklore, legends, and more, after all. Ms. Wadsworth is a talented author, who draws readers into her stories of romance, love, Time Travel and HEAs. Once I got into this story, which didn't take me but a couple of pages, BTW, I was absolutely delighted. Ms. Wadsworth did a great job with her details, her characterizations, and her story development, that I was truly in awe. Strongly recommended. Well done, Ms. Wadsworth. I received a complimentary copy, however, all opinions are my own. Rating: 4.5 Heat rating: Mild Reviewed by: AprilR

Ailith is a fierce fae warrior who has the ability to see visions of death and destruction before they happen. In her vision she sees a man's violent death at the hands of their clan's enemy. She needs to find this warrior and protect him. With Cherub's help she travels to the future to find the man in her vision. It's Hunter Matheson. He's a bear shifter. Can she prevent his death? Ailith is such a feisty female. I liked that she can take care of herself. No wonder Hunter is drawn to her and wants her to be his soul bound mate. Their chemistry is amazing. These two are a pair that I can root for. The are perfect for each other. He's a heart stealing hero and she's his strong willed fae warrior. Their passionate romance hooked me. All the characters in Highlander's Claim are unique and interesting. Joanne Wadsworth is a master at creating characters. The time travel adds drama and suspense to the story. I want to say that the Mathesons are back and better than every. I'm looking forward to the next adventure.

Another amazing adventure from Joanne Wadsworth!! When Ms Wadsworth releases new Highlander books, I can't wait to get my hands on them. They never disappoint and are always full of love, romance, humor and magic. I loved Hunter and Ailith's story. Their banter was refreshing and I found myself laughing out loud, as well as wanting to jump into the story and give them a piece of my mind. Ms Wadsworth's writing will make you feel as though you are truly apart of the book and characters. It feels as though they are apart of you, you feel their emotions and you can feel the sparks jump off of the pages, that fly between the bonded mates. Thank you Joanne for a wonderful book, I cannot wait for the next adventure!

I love how Joanne Wadsworth brings the past and the present together within her stories. Cherub is now waiting to see who will be next to find their soul mate and learns that her niece will be the next one. Ailith (Cherub's niece has been waiting for thousands of years to find her soul mate) is a Fae who has the ability to see visions. She must travel from her time to the present day time to save a warrior, but who is also her soul mate. Hunter, bear shifter wants Ailith now as she is an unmated female and in heat. Ailith discovers Hunter is the warrior, so she tries to take his memories away, but Hunter's bear is strong. Can Ailith save Hunter from Colin MacKenzie or does the vision change? This book is full of passion and adventure after adventure. The interaction between Ailith and Hunter is hot and passionate. If you like time travel and paranormal, this book is right up your alley and I highly recommend it. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. Series: Time Travel Romance series, but can be read as standalone. Characters: Alpha males with strong female character. Writing: Smooth, well paced and developed storyline. Heat: Sizzling. 5 Koala Paws

Highlander's Claim by Joanne Wadsworth is a fantastic read. This is a fairly quick read, a perfect choice for those paranormal fans with limited time for reading. Ms Wadsworth has once again impressed me with her storytelling abilities. Ailith and Hunter's story is loaded with drama, action, humor and sizzle. The characters in this story are awesome and a great fit. I love that characters from previous books make their way into this story. I enjoyed Highlander's Claim and look forward to my next book by the talented Joanne Wadsworth. Highlander's Claim is book 2 of The Matheson Warriors Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
