I remember loving this when I first read it, but I’d forgotten just how much. Melanie and Grady are adorable together, even though she’s trying so very hard to prove they aren’t compatible in the least. I loved watching Grady show her that he’s paid attention in the time they’ve been together; that he knows her better than she realizes.

Sometimes you know right away. But thay doesn't mean you are both on the same page. This is a good reason for plenty of communication. Another good book!

A salesman once told me" you can call a green bra chattruce and a woman will buy it" As insulating as that comment was, it was true! All they have to do is repackage it, call it by a different name, AND we'll buy it! Let's break that cycle!

Couldn't get into this book at all, the first in the Runaway Brides series. Much too short at only 69 pages/6 chapters. The rest of the series is pretty good and I'm glad I didn't let this one turn me off them. Although this is the first in the series, it almost seems like an afterthought or that it should be part of one of the other books and not a standalone story.

A cute short story to start a new series and baseball season. Melanie and Grady have an impulsive wedding at the courthouse. Melanie then has second thoughts of becoming a part time wife to a baseball player, so she takes off. Now it is up to Grady to change her mind and stay married to him. This is the perfect story that you can read in one afternoon while enjoying the nice spring weather. I highly recommend this story.

Grady and Melaine story was quick, with some funny moments. Received an ARC for an honest and fair review.

The first in a new series by the author duet of Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock is a quick-reading novella, which manages to pack in a whirlwind romance, instant affection, a slow realization and a touch of drama from  the past.  Grady and Melanie have known one another for a very short while, and this is essentially the story of confidence facing off against insecurities.  Grady is a baseball player who not only wants to be married, but is certain that Melanie is the woman for him.  Steady, fairly constant and wholly supportive, he knows what Melanie doesn’t – he’s good for her and she for him. On the other hand, Melanie’s past traumas and family issues with alcohol and broken promises, and she doesn’t believe that anyone can or will make a promise that sticks.   Together the dynamic between the two is clever, with small reveals of past history and insecurities as Grady struggles to convince Melanie to take a chance, a big huge whopping chance on him and the surety of his love  and affection.  Cute, quick reading and well- paced, the characters arrived with solid development and voices, and their interactions felt real and plausible.  A wonderful introduction to a series about reluctant brides, who can resist the romantic pull of a whirlwind, meant to be sort of story? I received an eBook copy of the title from the publisher via Tasty Book Tours for purpose of honest review. I was  not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

The Runaway Bride and the Star Baseball Player! Melanie Webb and Grady Hollis have enjoyed a whirlwind romance while Grady was in town for Spring Training. When Grady proposes, Melanie accepts, thinking that despite her feelings, he will never go through with it. After the ceremony at the courthouse, a panicked Melanie runs for the hills, leaving Grady to chase after her. The last thing Grady expected was to spend his wedding night trying to find his bride. Now he has 3 days before he leaves for Atlanta to convince Melanie that they can make their marriage work, while she is trying to convince him he is better off without her. Melanie grew up in a dysfunctional family and knows all about disappointment, so she truly expected Grady to be another one of them, never expecting that someone like him could be happy with her. Grady, on the other hand, has never been more sure of anything, and despite what Melanie believes, he knows her better than she thinks. A very cute, fun short story that introduces the Runaway Brides series. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. Melanie was a real person, and Grady was a genuinely good guy. It was fun to watch them grow as a couple and I look forward to more stories in the series.

A cute short story about learning to love and trust someone. Melanie Webb knew the marriage wouldn’t work out. She had only known Grady Hollis for the extent of spring training. She played along with the game anyway thinking he would call it off. But he didn’t. Melanie got scared after the quick wedding at the courthouse leaving in her car trying to put as much distance as she can between them. Grady tracks Melanie down through her phone and now he has the tough task of convincing her how much he really loves her and that he wants to stay married. Melanie does everything she can think of to push him away. How far will Grady go to keep his wife?

Can't help but admire Grady, with his patience, kindness, determination, and love towards Melanie, when she takes off from the courthouse wedding, running for her life. His set off with dedication to show her that their love is true, they have a real future together, that they can make it. And he only has just a couple of days to accomplish this before the season starts. Melanie has grown up in a dysfunctional home of alcoholism and broken dreams. She can't believe she would deserve a dream come true, someone who would put her first, love her, and willing to make a life with her. Until Grady showed her the truth about his feelings. Hectic, stressful, a lustful couple of days follows, where anyone's relationship would have been put into a test, not to mention Grady and Melanie's. Does Grady have enough time, and patience, to convince Melanie, before it's too late? It is a sweet, adorable story. The heartache and panic are palpable, but so are the love, caring, acceptance, and passion for each other. Lovely novella, that gives a different point of view into the 'fast and furious' happily ever after ~ Four Spoons

**I received an ARC in exchange for my opinion** Melanie marries Grady after a too-good-to-be-true whirlwind romance. Then panics at the courthouse. Grady goes after her and thus begins the nitty-gritty road to marriage. As each learns more about each other, they realize they have a love and marriage for a lifetime! A quick and fun read!

How to Lose a Groom in 10 Days is a fast-paced humorous romp that is in turn touching and passionate. Melanie Webb suddenly finds herself married to a sexy ballplayer. After an impulsive courthouse wedding the shocked bride runs away. What's Grady Hollis to do, he needs to go to Atlanta to start the baseball season, but he loves his wife? This short story was impossible to put down. The characters were both vulnerable and romantic. Grady wants a woman who will be his partner while Melanie doesn't believe in true love and marriage. I swooned when Grady wooed his wife with a sexy indoor picnic complete with chocolate and an adorable puppy. What a man! I wanted to shake Melanie and tell her to take a chance and not let him go. I enjoy the writing of Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock and I'm looking forward to more madcap stories in the Runaway Brides series.
