I was given an arc in exchange for my honest review. Aubrey Reynolds has it all. A great career as a director with awards, money, and friends. However it all comes to a halt when she is diagnosed with cancer, but the doctor made a mistake she doesn’t have it. Aubrey is given a second chance and she is going to live it at its fullest. But there is one thing that she must do and that is begging forgiveness from the one man that she broke heart. Cole Haywood never expect to see Aubrey again. After 10 years ago Aubrey broke his heart and now he doesn’t know if he can forgive her. If you the reader believe in second chances it’s a must read!

L.P.Dover skillfully develops characters that are quite real and become people that the reader would really like to know. The plots are realistic for romance novels; not fantasy, that would not happen in real life. This is a second chance story, which is my favorite. Keeping a promise that she gave to her mother before she died, Aubrey went to Hollywood and became an accomplished , award winning director, but sacrificing the love of her life. Her best friend is Emilia Hart, one of Hollywood's most sought after actresses. After receiving a misdiagnosis of a terminal disease, she decides that she sacrificed too much and chucks it all to do write a bucket list and do all those things that she has put off. One of those is to return to her home town of Dusty Valley, Oklahoma. Ten years ago, she was a dental assistant, a month away from marrying Cole Haywood, the love of her life, when she decided she needed to keep the promise to her mother. Cole offered to come with her to California, but she knew his heart was in Dusty Valley and she didn't want him to make the sacrifice or resent her later. Without him being on social media, she didn't know if he had moved on to another, but she had never found a man that could take his place in her heart. She finds that he had not replaced her either, but he is still very angry. Older and wiser now, can they mend their broken hearts and put them back together again? A side story involves Emilia and Cole's brother Bennett. Will they learn from Cole and Aubrey's mistakes? I received a free, advanced copy of this book from This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Aubrey Reynolds suffered a difficult loss as a young adult that shaped her future. Aubrey was to marry the love of her life, her soulmate Cole Haywood, but a promise to her deceased mother had her pursuing her dream of becoming a famous screenwriter instead. As a famous, award winning screenwriter, she had everything she could ever want....except love. When she is mistakenly given a life-changing diagnosis, Aubrey decides to start “living” life. Aubrey makes a bucket list and leaves on the adventure of a lifetime. Cole Haywood, a firefighter on the cusp of becoming the chief, is SHOCKED to see Aubrey back in Dusty Valley. He’s hurt, angry, and has never stopped loving Aubrey. He has dreams of becoming fire chief, she’s a famous screenwriter. Although Cole still loves Aubrey, he believes she could never be happy in Dusty Valley, Oklahoma. Once he gives her the chance to see who she’s become and still is, hope sets in. While I’ve never read an L.P. Dover novel, I can say that this was one of the best second chance novels I’ve read. I loved Cole’s willingness to put the past aside to see if he and Aubrey could have a second chance at love. Their bucket list adventures brought the past and the present together flawlessly. I also loved the uniqueness of Aubrey’s bucket list. She didn’t just want to go see places, but to experience foods (cookies) and events (book signings). Awesome second chance love story! I do wish that Bennett and Emilia had gotten their own story, not just an addition to Love, Again. I also LOVED the fact that a book was based in Oklahoma! There’s not too many of those out there. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Love a second chance romance - this was such a good story. I was glad to that misdiagnosis was addressed immediately and Aubrey knew within hours that the life threatening news she received was incorrect. However, that didn't deter her from making changes in her life and revisiting her past. Loved Aubrey and Cole and will look forward to reading more from this author.

Aubrey Reynolds, left the small town of Dusty Valley, Oklahoma to become a director in Los Angeles, in the process she received several Oscars and Golden Globes. Aubrey also left behind the love of her life, Cole Haywood, after she broke off their engagement. It’s been 10 long years, however, she remembers everything like it was yesterday. Lately she’s been getting a lot of headaches, thinking it might be stress, but deciding it’s time to get it checked out. When she gets the call from the doctor himself with her test results, Aubrey starts to panic. It’s not good news. The diagnosis is a rare blood disorder where the survival rate is low. After the phone call, Aubrey collapses, thinking of everything she wants to do before time runs out. In the background Aubrey can hear her phone ringing and pounding on her front door, but she’s unable to move. It’s a good thing her backdoor was open, since not only is her doctor there along with her best friend Emilia to give her the good news that he gave her someone else’s test results by mistake. Even with the good news, Aubrey decides to take time off and do a bucket list. She knows that she needs to return to Oklahoma and make amends with Cole. Cole Haywood has never gotten over Aubrey, so when he sees her after 10 years, anger is all that he feels. After tossing and turning all night, Cole knows he has to confront Aubrey and talk about all the hurt inside of him, caused by her sudden departure 10 years ago. He really wants her in his life but also realizes that what he wants may not be what Aubrey wants. This was a wonderful romantic story of second chances with sexy encounters. This is a second chance love story and oh my did it have me hooked right from the beginning! Aubrey is a Hollywood director, and a very successful one at that, and this story starts off with her looking for her keys while suffering from a hangover. She doesn't often imbibe but the night before she had celebrated with her friend but now she needs to get out the door to a meeting for a new movie. Just as she is about to leave the house she gets a call that changes everything. Her doctor gives her the news she may not have long to live. She was frozen in shock until her friend Emilia and her doctor come over to let her know there was a mistake and the blood tests were not hers and she is fine. Okay, this is a wake up call that changes everything. Bags are packed, a bucket list is made and she is off on an adventure to places she has always wanted to go and to see things she has only read about. Along the way she is plagued by the realization she needs to go home. Ten years ago she broke her engagement a month before the wedding and didn't look back and has never been back. Sure, she has looked back plenty but never contacted anyone. It turns out she rolls into town and her childhood home looks better than it did when she was growing up and showing up at the diner was as blast from the past and open arms are waiting for her. Later that night she runs into the only man she has ever loved and the one she left. She is met with anger, as expected, but after he calms down he seeks her out the next day. Oh, you have to read this one. This not only the story of forgiveness but it is a reaffirmation that it is never too late to go back. I highly recommend this one! **Received this ARC for review from the publisher via NetGalley**

Aubrey and Cole have a second chance at happiness when she finally returns home after 10 years away. She left him one month before their wedding to pursue her Hollywood dream of directing. She has made a success of herself professionally, however, a life changing event causes her to reflect on her personal life. She then makes a bucket list of places and things she wants to experience and sets about finding herself. When she winds up back in her hometown she knows she has to apologize to Cole for her leaving him behind. Cole, understandably, isn't exactly thrilled to see her at first. I thought his reaction was understandable and both of them had some guilt over not coming to see the other in the last 10 years. I did feel that Aubrey's mother played a big role in her decision and that her mother was projecting some of her wishes onto her daughter. It was interesting how L.P. Dover portrayed these 2 and told their story. It wasn't unrealistic and I found myself rooting for them. Overall a good read and in keeping with the other L.P. Dover books that I have read. I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.

3.75 Stars Love, Again was such a fun read for me! It was a sweet, low-angst, second chance love story that gave me vibes of my FAVOURITE movie Sweet Home Alabama. Which is so funny because a few months ago, I was BEGGING readers on a Facebook group to give me some recommendations of books that were similar to Sweet Home Alabama. As soon as I finish this review I'm going to find that post and let everyone who was following/commenting know about this gem. Aubrey and Cole's connection was beautiful and well written. I liked all of the characters, main and secondary - I loved the interactions between them all. I really enjoyed reading their second chance at love, although the story didn't have enough conflict for me. I'm not sure if it's a me problem or not but I felt like the story was lacking in areas. There became a point where the story just kind of stalled and I was waiting for the "bomb" to drop. Like running "what if's" in my head and then nothing happened - it just kept slowing going and just ended.

4 1/2 Stars ... a swoon worthy romance! Aubrey left Cole a month before their wedding to follow her dream of being a movie director. Ten years later, she has a death scare and decides to start doing the things on her bucket list. After a couple of months of crossing things off her list, she decides to tackle #1 on her list ... face Cole and tell him the real reason she took off all those years ago. Cole has never left their small town of Dusty Valley and he’s never gotten over loosing the love of his life. So when he finds out Aubrey’s back in town, he’s angry and hurt ... but he can’t deny that he still loves her with all is heart. This book just made me melt ... it is a true romance! It was a nice change that it was the woman that went off to become rich and famous. And who wouldn’t fall in love with a guy like Cole? I could just feel the pages burning with the sexual tension between them. A great book that shouldn’t be missed! l.p. dover's latest, love, again, is a second-chance romance that features a hotshot hollywood director and the man she left behind in dusty valley, oklahoma to reach her dreams. in the ten years since she left her first love, aubrey has never forgotten cole. so when a misdiagnosis has her questioning her life choices, she decides to start living with no regrets. she writes up a bucket list and leaves the glitz and glamour of hollywood behind. the pull of reconnecting with her lost love is too strong to deny, so she finds herself going back home. and honestly, there was very little conflict in this book. she goes home, reconnects with her guy who forgives her because he's still in love with her. and like no one holds the fact that she left everyone behind against her. it's true that communication goes both ways, so i suppose it's not a bad thing that she doesn't have to shoulder all the blame for leaving her entire life before hollywood in the dust bowl. but it's almost a little too easy. everything in this book is almost too easy. all these couples fall in love and get their happily ever after. and the only concern hanging over anyone's head is whether or not aubrey is going to go back to hollywood, but she is pretty clear on what she wants to do with her life. and while it is still making movies, she doesn't need to live in hollywood to do it. this was perfectly enjoyable, if you like low-angst books with little conflict, this is for you. **love, again will publish on april 9, 2019. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/random house publishing group (loveswept) in exchange for my honest review.

Wow! This one got my attention at the very beginning. Everything fell into place in a 2nd chance romance. The storyline was great and in reality, what should be most important in life. I gave it 4 stars because I really did like the concept, I didn't care for the dual POVs in this book, as I felt bounced around a bit. I still wanted to see how it ended and with a happy sigh. Received ARC thru NetGalley and expressing my own thoughts voluntarily

I so badly wanted to love this book. Friends to lovers and second chance are my favorite books but this one just didn’t capitalize on those connections for me. I didn’t feel the love between these two, even though I was told, a lot, that it was there. I need a little bit of conflict in books like this otherwise, I’m skimming to just get to the end. I loved Emilia and Bennett. I also really did like Aubrey and Cole. I was just never drawn into them like I’ve been for other characters in books by this author.

4.5 Stars! Wow, what a well-written and entertaining novel. Love, Again by L.P. Dover, is chock-full of soul-searching, heat, drama, and true love. It is a fast-paced second chance romance with two main characters that are instantly captivating, likable, and have a ton of off the charts chemistry. This book may be enjoyed as a standalone. Academy Award winning director Aubrey Reynolds, and assistant fire chief Cole Haywood, grew up together in the small town of Dusty Valley, Oklahoma. Their amazing childhood friendship developed into true love during high school, and Cole proposed shortly thereafter. However, before Aubrey could commit to the love of her life, she had to live out her dream of being a film director. Leaving Cole and the town she adored was unbelievably difficult, but Aubrey had to try to use her creative talents successfully. Aubrey and Cole were devastated by Aubrey's decision, and moving on was quite difficult for both of them. A health scare ten years later causes Aubrey to reevaluate her future and she returns to Dusty Valley to seek out Cole. Their love for each other never faded and they embark on an amazing future together. I truly liked this book, and the incredible love connection between Aubrey and Cole. I immediately connected with both of them as individuals and as a couple. The secondary characters were unique in their own right, which added a lot of interest to the storyline. I especially liked Aubrey's best friend Emilia, because of her spunk and genuineness. Overall, this is a terrific novel and I can't wait to read more from this author. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

Just when Aubrey Reynolds is on the cusp of achieving everything she is dreamed of, she receives devastating news from her doctor. She is struggling with the diagnosis and the upheaval in her life that it caused, and decides the best way to deal with it is to take some time off from the movie making business and tackle her bucket list. It winds up taking her to a place she said goodbye to a few years ago, and front and center into the life she walked away from, and the guy who shared it with her! Love, Again is a heart-squeezing tale that will play on your emotions, rattle your senses, and leave you feeling a inspired. This beautifully crafted second chance romance story sucked me in from the first page, and held me captive until the last, I just had to see if these two wounded souls would find their way back. Watching them embrace this second chance they had been given, and seeing their personal growth along the way was heartwarming and inspiring. I really enjoyed this newest offering from Ms. Dover, it brought smiles, swoons, and lots of feels.. one of her best to date! Highly recommend!! I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

Title: Love, Again Author: L.P. Dover Publisher: Loveswept Reviewed By: Arlena Dean Rating: Five Review: "Love, Again" by L. P. Dover My Rationalization: This was indeed a beautiful read that will keep your attention as you are turning the pages to see what was coming next for Aubrey Reynolds especially after her misdiagnosis health scare. I loved the idea that Aubrey decided to stop and smell the roses by taking off time from work to pursue her bucket list which included returning to her hometown, in Dusty Valley, Oklahoma, where she had left ten years ago. Will she find the forgiveness Aubrey so desperately seeks? Well, since this is a story of a romantic second chance be ready for a good read that featured not only Aubrey and Cole but also his brother, Bennett and Aubrey's best friend, Emilia who were all amazing good people and added so much to this story. The read gave off a good view of seeing Aubrey's desire to finally mend her past with Cole and in the end seeing them both work at it making it finally coming together so very well for them. This author did a wonderful job of presenting this well-written story to the reader. Yes, this was a nice read and with the help their friends and family the story comes together so well for a HEA. Thank you to NetGalley, Loveswept and L.P. Dover for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

LOVE, AGAIN by L.P. Doer is a contemporary, adult, stand alone, erotic, romance story line focusing on thirty-two years olds, fire fighter Cole Haywood, and award winning Hollywood director Aubrey Reynolds. Told from dual first person points of view (Cole and Aubrey) LOVE, AGAIN follows the rekindling romance between childhood sweethearts and former lovers, thirty-two years olds, fire fighter Cole Haywood, and award winning Hollywood director Aubrey Reynolds. Ten years earlier, one month before their scheduled wedding, Aubrey Reynolds walked away from the man that she loved in the hope of finding herself and a new path in life. Fast forward to present day wherein a medical mistakes sends our heroine on a bucket list trip of what ifs and whys including a return to her hometown of Dusty Valley, Oklahoma where she lost her heart, and the man that she loved. Enter fire fighter Cole Haywood. What ensues is the second chance romance and relationship between Cole and Aubrey, and the potential fall-out as Aubrey struggles with returning to Hollywood, and the possibility of leaving the man she has always loved. Cole Haywood had never stopped loving the woman who broke his heart but fame, fortune and life pulled Aubrey Reynolds out of his life. Bitter and broken hearted, Cole never expected to come face to face with his past, a past he struggles to forgive and forget. Aubrey Reynolds knows she screwed up the day she walked out of Cole Haywood’s life. Never regretting the fame and success of Hollywood, Aubrey battles to make amends, walking away from the thing that she loved. The relationship between Aubrey and Cole is one of second chances; a rekindling romance and love between two people whose lives went in opposite directions but a love that never waivered in spite of the different paths, and varying degrees of fame and success. With Aubrey’s return to Dust Valley, Oklahoma, Cole is hoping for a second chance. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. We are introduced to Aubrey’s best friend and actress Emilia Hart ; Cole’s brother Bennett Haywood, as well as a number of residents of Dust Valley, Oklahoma, and the many people our heroine meets on her journey of discovery. I am hoping the author has plans for Bennett and Emilia’s story. LOVE, AGAIN is a story of family, friendship, forgiveness and second chances. The premise is sweet, engaging and uplifting; the romance is captivating and seductive; the characters are colorful, energetic and fun. The conflict is limited to the reconciliation between our leading couple. LOVE, AGAIN is a wonderful and heart warming story for the romantic in all of us.

I enjoyed reading this second chance love story between Cole and Aubery. The characters were wonderful and they had good chemistry. The pages flowed freely and it had a good storyline. Thanks NetGalley and Loveswept for advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are of my own.

I immediately fell in love with L.P. Dover's writing style and had a hard time putting Love, Again down. Having grown up in a place even smaller than Dusty Valley, I absolutely loved the small town atmosphere. Instead of dealing with the pain of the past in a hurtful past in a spiteful way, Aubrey and Cole immediately began making up for lost time. “I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”

I so needed to read Love, Again. I needed to read a book with a simple plot. The last few books I have read have had plots that were all over the place. So, reading a book that was focused only on one thing was terrific. It was a balm for my brain. I liked that Love, Again was a second chance romance. Out of all the genres/troupes, second chance romances is in my top 5. I love reading about characters who get back together after being separated for years. I like seeing those characters reconnect. Audrey and Cole was no exception. I liked Aubrey. I did think that she was too chill about certain things (like her misdiagnosis). I loved her bucket list. There were a few things on there that I want to do. She didn’t come across as a typical Hollywood person. She seemed genuine to the people that she met. I didn’t understand how she could leave Cole a month before the wedding. That was the only time I thought she was selfish. But, when it was revealed why she left and who was behind it, then I understood. My feelings about her being selfish went away, and I pitied her. Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place. I did like Cole, but I didn’t get as good as a connection to him. His chapters were introduced rather late in the book. Don’t get me wrong; he was excellent for Aubrey. I felt that something was missing on my end. I wish I could explain it. But I can’t. Love, Again was a perfect fit into the romance category. Being a second chance romance, I didn’t have an issue with Cole and Aubrey falling in love . Usually, I would be screaming “Instalove,” but in this case, it wasn’t. Aubrey and Cole had a history. They knew they were soulmates. So, yeah, I had no issue with them saying the “L” word as soon as they did in the book. Aubrey and Cole’s romance was relatable to me. They were soul mates that separated. It did take them ten years, but once they got back together, it was almost like they were never apart. Their love for each other came off the pages. The sexual tension and chemistry between Aubrey and Cole were steaming hot. From the minute they saw each other, I could see the zings. The author did have them have sex shortly after they saw each other. Again, something that would bother me, but in this case, it didn’t. The sex was red hot. The author was able to keep the sexual tension going, which made every single sex scene amazing. I did have a small complaint. If you have been reading my blog for any length of time, then you know how I feel about the characters having unprotected sex. I know that Aubrey and Cole were soulmates but to go bareback after ten years? Yeah, no thank you. I did have the ending figured out. I had it figured out when Aubrey and Cole went to Turk and Caicos. Of course, I liked how the book ended up. It was the ultimate HEA. But I thought that Aubrey took an unnecessary risk cliff jumping. The epilogue was my favorite part of the book. I was hoping for an Emilia/Bennet book, but from what I read, that isn’t happening. The author did a fantastic job at wrapping up all the plotlines in Love, Again. There was no lag in the plot. All the storylines were wrapped up, which meant that there were no dropped storylines or characters. I liked that the author took events that happened at the beginning of the book and tied it in to the end. For some reason, that made me happy.

This was a second chance love story. Years ago Aubrey and Cole were in love, they had been high school sweet hearts and they thought they would marry, the whole town thought it. Aubrey loses her parents and decides to make a life change leaving behind her home town and the love of her life. Thinking she is dying for about a couple of hours due to some misinformation she decides that she wants to change her life again and sets out to make out a bucket list and fulfill it and on there she wants to see and apologize to Cole. Cole was not very happy to see her, again for about a couple of hours than they pick up where they left off since both of them were single and had never gotten over each other..It was a syrupy sweet romance. Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) Voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.

Love, Again is everything you would want if you had run from the one you can't forget. This sweet second chance romance has the adventure, the spark, and the love...again. With a kick in the pants leading her home, Aubrey has to decide what she really wants in life. The past is never far behind with unresolved issues lingering. Cole knows that but he didn't expect 10 years to go by. Now all he can see is his future. Love, Again has love in the air. Be careful you might catch it too!

This book was such an easy, fun read. The beginning makes it feel heavy, but soon it turns into an inspiration story. The character has had a really tough time while following her dream, but did following her dream make her miss what she really needs in life? This story is about a girls journey to home, which should be easy, but she isn't sure where home is. Come along for the tale of a successful movie producer learning that all the money and fame may not be worth the price she is paying. Highly Recommend.

This is one beautifully written book and I loved reading every word. Towards the end, Ms. Dover had me crying, so I know it touched my emotions in a good way. It was easy to visualize what was happening and I really felt a part of the story. This was my first book to read by this author, but it is definitely not going to be my last. I received an ARC of this book and I am freely giving my truthful and honest review of it. What really starts the story is the fact that Aubrey gets a call from her doctor who eventually tells her that she is suffering from a fatal blood cancer, but a short time later the doctor finds out that due to a filing error that he actually gave Aubrey the wrong results. It makes one wonder what they would do in that situation (at least it made me wonder). Aubrey realizes that this is her wake up call and that she doesn't want to die with a lot of regrets, the biggest one being that of not being with the man she loves. So she starts on a bucket list and fulfilling the items on said list. Fate, finally nudges her enough that she returns to her hometown with the idea of just "checking on" her former love, but not actually talking to him incase he has moved on with or without someone else. The story of Aubrey and Cole pulled me in and didn't let me go not even with the last words on the last page. I am definitely adding this book to my permanent library to be revisited again and again.

Aubrey is one sexy determined woman. Cole is one hot as sin man. They have a past together. Aubrey did what she thought as best and Cole did what she asked him to do. They both have huge regrets from there past. Can they forgive each other and move on from the past and start over. This was an amazing journey of first love and second chances. Could not wait to see how the story would end. Amazing must read.
