I had never read a book where "slippery" was used to describe a woman's relative readiness. Gross. At one point, the hero says he wants to go slow and leas than a paragraph later says he can't go slow. Just make up your mind. And when the hero "reveals" his past to the heroine but doesn't actually tell her anything she didn't already know? This book needed a better editor to cut out what didn't need to be there and to ensure consistency...like when the heroine wraps herself in a bedsheets and lays back down on the made bed.
