He has worked for the National Institute of Mental Health, and the Behavioral Science section of the Public Health Service. After having served as Director of the Consultation Project for the California State Department of Psychiatry, Dr. Robbins was on the staff of the Department of Psychiatry of the George Washington University School of Medicine. He also served as a consultant for the Drug Treatment and Research Unit of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Washington DC.
