Carol Scott-Conner MD PhD is Professor Emeritus of Surgery at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She is the author or editor of more than ten textbooks or monographs in the field of surgery. She has also published two books of short stories and three monographs on aspects of medical writing.
