Kerri Pomarolli in her new book, “Moms’ Night Out And Other Things I Miss…” published by B&H Publishing Group gives us Devotions To Help You Survive. From the back cover:  Shhhh…Mommy is in Time-Out… Messy homes, messier kids, Pinterest fails, lost tap shoes, never ending casseroles, forgetful husbands and the desire to just take a long bath (preferably with chocolate ice cream)…this is called MOTHERHOOD! Inspired by the endearing, true-to-life movie MOMS’ NIGHT OUT,comedian Kerri Pomarolli has created this light, yet inspiring devotional that will definitely make you laugh, but will also help you discover that indeed you are not alone, and that God’s gracious provision of love and faithfulness is at work in your life and of your loved ones. As a Mom, couldn’t you use a good laugh? Whether you’re running full-speed-ahead or disappointed that it’s Monday (again), you’ll find joy in these devotions where Kerri shares hilarious stories and insights on daily life. This world can be a funny place, and these stories are bound to prove it. Read a devotion to brighten your morning, or catch a few words to make you smile before bed. There’s never a bad time for a good laugh, and as a Mom, you need a Moms’ Night Out and Other Things I Miss: Devotions To Help You Survive. Women need this devotional.  In particular mothers need this devotional as it is especially designed just for them.  A mother’s world can be chaotic and physically, emotionally and spiritually draining.  Sometimes all you have is a few minutes to catch your breath before the next challenge demands your attention.  Kerri Pomarolli knows this and wrote the forty eight devotions included in this book.  They are quick to read, funny and very to the point.  You will find encouragement, a few points to Take A Moment to Think About and a prayer.  I think this book is a necessity for all moms and would make a great gift for any woman. Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Litfuse Publicity Group.   I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. Kerri Pomarolli is hilarious and she brings that clean humor to Moms' Night Out and Other Things I Miss.....Devotions to Help You Survive. While this devotional was inspired by the movie, this is fresh, new material that you will not see anywhere else. Not only is she funny, y'all she gets it. She understands where we are in these trenches of motherhood. She knows the down and dirty truth of the day to day of being a mommy. She doesn't just come to heckle and make fun though, she knows that we are tired and dirty but that we LOVE being moms. Pomarolli knows it is worth it. She brings us this devotional to make us laugh at the moment and refresh ourselves with God's word so we can make it through the next day...or moment. I must admit I am gobbling up these pages several entries at a time.  Each entry starts with a story (most hilarious, a few serious) and a Bible verse. Then she gives you a couple of questions to think about. The entries end in a prayer. Scattered throughout the book are some very funny lists like "The Top 10 Worst Texts to Send Your Wife on Moms' Night Out". You will laugh while you read this devotional. A lot. You will want to share it with all of your mommy friends. You will also feel relaxed and covered in God's word. You won't feel any condemnation. Amen.  I received a free copy of this book from Litfuse Publicity for the purpose of review. All opinions are my own.

I just finished reading  “MOM’S NIGHT OUT” and other things I miss… DEVOTIONS TO HELP YOU SURVIVE!  By KERRI POMAROLLI. My oldest daughter (25 years old) recently ordered this book, thinking I might enjoy it, even though my kids are all grown.  She was spot-on!  This book is a hoot!  Kerri brought back many memories from child-raising days and reminded me of sweet times, fun times, and no time for moms to have a night out!!  The way she brings God into view for her kids is great…and she is right to use many of the opportunities afforded her through child-rearing .  If you are raising children, this devotional book can bring many laughs your way, and brighten your day. If your kids are grown, enjoy reminiscing and getting a good laugh, all the while being reminded of our God’s goodness. Thanks for writing, Kerri. Keep up the good work!

Just in time for the Moms' Night Out movie is the Moms' Night Out devotional. My kids are grown now so it's been quite a number of years since I've felt starved for a night out with my hubby or a night out with my girlfriends. But the memories of those times don't leave one's memory! This book is a funny and light-hearted approach to the struggles young moms go through. Kerri is very transparent in her daily stories of life as a mother. She offers encouragement, a prayer, and some questions for moms to reflect upon during the day. She always brings her stories back to a practical application and displays a yearning for and a definite need for the Lord. This is not your typical devotional! If you're a young mom, you'll love this! I was asked to review this book by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
