This is the fourth Kendall Ryan book that I've read, and though I've enjoyed the others, this was easily my fav. I had just finished an ARC of Slow and Steady by the same author and she included two samples in the back of the book. Read the first three chapters of Sinfully Mine and I was intrigued by Reese and Macey and the promise of a brother's best friend forbidden romance. So, I one-clicked. I was hoping this wouldn't be one of those books where the erotic sex prevailed over plot and characters. Thankfully, it was the complete opposite and like a breath of fresh air. Yes, there is BDSM but it is more in the background. I loved the emotional complexity between our couple, and both characters were expertly crafted. The journey back into each other's arms was filled with plenty of angsty torturous moments as they struggled to relinquish their vulnerability and let each other back in. The writing was great and the book flowed smoothly. My only complaint is it was too short. Read it cover to cover in 2.5 hours. I would have liked a little bit more, but only because I enjoyed the characters and the story so much. Highly Recommended.

"Sinfully Mine" by Kendall Ryan, is a stand alone book, but I think should be read after "The Gentleman Mentor". We get to pick up almost where that book ends. We have Macey, who is Hale's younger sister and then Hales best friend and BDSM club owner Reece. These two had a relationship back when Macey was younger, but nothing relay happened because Reece was older, and attempting to be the gentleman, and send his best friends little sister off to college without having a true romantic relationship. Now it's six years later, and Macey is back home in Chicago and looking for a good f*ck. She's surprised to learn that her first love owns and runs a BDSM club. Once again Reece is thrown into the past and his emotions for Macey come flying at him. While he still wants to respect Macey and his friendship with Hale, he is floored by his feelings for this women. He had a hard time letting her go, and doesn't think he can do it again. When Macey asks him to teach her about BDSM he is flabbergasted. After talking to Hale, who said not just no, but Hell No!, he goes ahead and agrees to four lessons with the beautifully stubborn Macey. The character development is well done, the dialogue is great because they fight each other without realizing they are fighting themselves. The sex is hot, but doesn't take up the whole book. There is actually a story here about these two people and what they have both been through.

Sizzling HOT and STILL FORBIDDEN....Macey. Your best friend Hale's sister, Macey. She shows up on New Years Eve in your BDSM club and Reece hasn't seen her since he helped her get into college and ended their secret relationship. Macey has owned Reece's heart & soul since they were young. She is back from Miami, just ended a long relationship, walked away from her job and is all grown up. GREAT READ.... you won't be able to put in down. It's sweet, sexy, & sizzling hot.

‘We worked as a good team, even back then. And I’m wondering if we still do.’ ~Macey~ Minor spoilers alert!!! This was another winner! Macey and Reece’s love story was full of vicarious thrills for me. Flashbacks – I’m a sucker for teenage or second chance romances, so the flashbacks of Macey and Reece acting on their secret teenage attraction were like catnip for me. Dom/sub element – I knew nothing about this really until last year when another favorite author had sex clubs featured in one of her novels. What more I learned in book 1, The Gentleman Mentor (Lessons with the Dom), was expounded on further in this sequel. The practice definitely comes off as curiously sexy and fulfilling in a way that I can only comprehend in a fictional reality. I can’t imagine myself doing any of it, but it was fun being in people’s heads who were exploring their limits in such a manner. Friendship – Reece and Hale’s long-time friendship plays a very important role in the story and ultimately added another layer of complexity. Cameron Hale and Macey Hale really leaned on and came to value their friendship with Reece after the tragedy they faced as teenagers. I also really enjoyed the girl chats between Macey and Brielle as they sipped yummy sounding peach Margaritas. Oliver and Chrissy were intriguing supporting characters and friends of Reece whose friendship and advice were pivotal in certain moments as well. Dual POVs – I liked being in both Macey’s head and Reece’s head as they attempted to just have a bit of fun with each other without getting hurt again. Of course, they each eventually discovered that they needed to put all their cards out on the table and just fess up to wanting to rekindle their teenage romance and turn it into a mature, non-secretive one. And bonus, I kind of wanted to be both of them while I was reading their love story, ha! Although a standalone novel, I also loved that Sinfully Mine picked up right where Cameron and Brielle’s love story ended in book 1. Seeing them interact with Macey and Reece as they worked out their own relationship was truly delightful. How cute was that epilogue? Obviously, I’m fast becoming a Kendall Ryan junkie, so I’m looking forward to my next fix.

Weak Dom character. Story was ok but went too long everyone trying to figure out why they were mad. Ending was cute but seemed to be over too quick.

5 star I was pulled right into this short story. The story has suspense, pain, secrets, betrayal, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first The Gentleman Mentor (Lessons with the Dom, #1) Years ago Macey and Reece were friends who wanted each other but Macey is Reece’s best friend’s brother. So they never went all the way. They both go their separate ways. Macey is in town to move on with her life and get over a breakup. She is determined to have a little bit of Reece. Reece wants Macey but it will be on his terms not hers. It will be just as a Dom/sub and not as friends. But can he keep things strictly on the no feelings side like he wants? Will he end up hurting her most of all. Macey is looking for a little of the old Reece but he’s nowhere to be found. The more she learns about him the more confused she becomes. He treats her different then all the others that were before her. She is broken by the treatment he is giving her and decides she does not want to continue. Will they be able to work out there issues or will Macey move on? Will they ever overcome the past and what they could have had then or even now? Can Reece figure out what he wants and fight for Macey? Or is it all over? I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

I love brother’s best friend romance tropes and was super duper excited to read this newest Kendall Ryan book. I liked that this couple had a past; though we don’t really get to see it in this book. But it’s alluded to, Macey and Reese recall certain memories, so it’s out there for the reader to think about. The reason I didn’t give this a full five stars was for the faint disconnect I had from the story and characters at certain moments. Maybe it’s my fault for not reading The Gentleman Mentor, book one in the series, and not having a bit of character background. Halfway through my read, I realized I still wasn’t invested in their relationship and the characters individually. The pace of the story and the couple’s relationship went at a steady pace and developed okay, but the climactic moment fell a bit flat. It didn’t make that full peak arrival and that too lessened my rating a bit. The last portion of the book felt somewhat rushed, as well as the epilogue. What this book did excel at was the sexier side of the story. The sexual chemistry was blatantly obvious and extremely palpable. Though I wouldn’t completely classify this book in the BDSM section, there were elements involved and I think the author did a great job of lightly incorporating the Dom/sub lifestyle. This story was supremely hot!

6 years ago they went their separate ways. He was off limits because he was her brothers best friend. She was off limits because she was his best friends sister. Six years later Macey's life seems to be falling apart so she moves back home to start over again. She's looking for something or is it someone to help put her life back together. Reece can't believe his eyes when Macey is standing in his club. Why is she there? What does she want? Can he let her get close? Can he keep his walls up or will they come tumbling down. I received an ARC for a honest review. I love Kendall's books and couldn't wait to dive into this book. I loved the storyline and the characters she created but was a little disappointed. I thought Reece would be a little harder, more demanding and I felt the book was rushed and felt things were skipped over. I would have liked more.

Sinfully sexy fun. Macey has always loved her brother's best friend Reece but he broke her heart when he pushed her away to go to college. It's been 6 years since she's seen Reece and she finds him back in a popular BDSM club not anything like the boy she remembers. After getting her heart kicked by her boyfriend, she decides to have some fun with Reece but will she end up with her heart broken again? Reece made a choice after Macey left to block all emotion so when she reappears at his club, well, what should he do but except her challenge. She will learn he's not the same boy she left all those years ago but maybe he wants to be. This is a crazy, tumultuous ride as they each fight discovering who they really are what they want but makes for a great romance to escape into.

Well if you thought Hale was hot, sexy, strong, and alpha then you will just love Reece. I love a reunited love story. This story has enough hot steamy scenes to keep you wanting more. Then only problem I have with this book is that Reece gave Macey a Cubs shirt to sleep in and I am born and raised in Chicago and am a die hard White Sox fan :) but I will forgive Kendall Ryan because I love all her books. Ya'll must read this book and all her books for that matter.

I adore me a good Kendall Ryan book. They always feel like coming home. Warm, kind, thoughtful, caring, and beautifully written. Sinfully Mind focuses on the closed off Dom named Reese Jackson. We met him briefly in the previous book in the series, The Gentleman Mentor. That book didn't even scratch the surface of what was lying beneath. He's shut off and protected. Strong and sometimes silent. But what lies beneath all of this quickly unravels as the one person who can throw his life off kilter comes suddenly back into it. Macey. Macey is his best friends little sister and the love of his life. After a bad breakup Macey comes back trying to find a release to help her get over all that and hopes that her old flame Reese will be the one to do it. Of course, nothing is ever as easy as you want it and Macey begins to realize that when it comes to Reese nothing is ever simple. The push-pull between these two that ensues is what really makes the story come alive. Both have their own hangups and watching them try to reconcile that along with their past and current growing feelings is what really gives this story legs. It's not easy, and at times it's painful, but it feels real as to how grown adults would deal with these situations. The story alternates between Reese and Macey's POV and truly this book called for it. We as readers needed both sides to this story in order to fully understand where these beautifully broken people were coming from. I'm not gonna lie. While I've enjoyed the last couple of books this author has put out, these last two in the Lessons With the Dom series felt like just good old fashioned, amazing Kendall Ryan storytelling. From the cast of characters to the love story itself, they've both been books I couldn't put down. I always suggest her books when people tell me they're in a book funk because her stories help you to forget all the garbage by just getting you lost in the beautifully written story. Another amazing book from this amazing writer.
