Curated by writer/director Cameron Crowe, the original motion picture soundtrack for the romantic comedy Aloha features an eclectic mix of folk, pop, indie rock, and traditional Hawaiian music. The 19-track set includes tracks donated from the likes of Beck, Josh Ritter, Blue Nile, Fleetwood Mac, Kurt Vile, David Crosby, and the Tallest Man on Earth, as well as two brand new ambient cuts from Jonsi & Alex. Sandwiched in between all of the pop goodness are evocative island jams from Genoa Keawe and the Royal Hawaiian Serenaders, and slack key guitar masters Cyril Pahinui, Bobby Ingano, and Ledward Kaapana. ~ James Christopher Monger
