SOUTH PARK creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone unleash another cinematic assault on pop culture with TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE, a send-up of over-the-top action films starring...marionettes. The movie's soundtrack is appropriately absurd, at times approaching the hilariously vulgar heights of the songs from SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER & UNCUT. Sure, some of the fun depends on hearing the music while watching puppets with firearms blow things up, but the expletive-ridden tunes are so ridiculous that they stand on their own. Highlights include the gleefully jingoistic "America, F**k Yeah" (and its string-laden "remix") and "Montage," a fast-paced 1980s-inspired ode to the titular sequence, a staple of action movies ("Show a lot of things happening at once/remind everyone of what's going on?"). If you're a fan of Parker and Stone's demented brand of humor, this soundtrack is essential.
