I don't have words for this. Being in Noah's head is exactly what I expected. He's smart and rude and shamelessly loves Mara and I was maniacally gleeful as I read every word. It was one heck of a roller coaster I should have been prepared for, but was still stunned speechless when I got to the end. Yes, this review is vague af, but I wouldn't dream of ruining one single page. **Huge thanks to Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers for providing the arc free of charge.**

Great story. Wonderful to continue with Noah and Mara. Note about this edition, however. There is a misprinted page, so an entire page is missing in the story. The hardback edition does not have this error.

When The Retribution of Mara Dyer came out in 2014, I thought it was the end of the story. Upon the announcement of The Shaw Confessions, I was absurdly excited. Just from the little snippets of Noah's point of view in Retribution, I was ecstatic that there would be THREE WHOLE BOOKS of him! I've been a highly invested super-fan of the series since 2012, and I've read and reread the Mara Dyer books an embarrassing amount of times. I cannot express my immense enthusiasm for this next series! The day it arrived, I legitimately utilized the phrase "shh I'm reading", pulled an all-nighter, and finished the novel in a grand total of six hours. It was impossible to put down. Everything I thought I knew was blown away. Being inside Noah's head gave so much insight. After years of reading only Mara's voice, this was a stark contrast. She is so open and sarcastic and emotional where he is… kind of a brick wall. It was amazing to actually read his thoughts from his own head! Noah's humor is uniquely his own, and it was intriguing to see Mara from his point of view. His on-brand cynicism and proper English vocabulary made me laugh and cry all at once. The Becoming of Noah Shaw is the perfect continuation of the story. Although it's a different series, it really feels like it's all one big narrative. I loved that it was partially set in jolly old England, and we got to meet Noah's family. I loved meeting new characters and finding out more about the Gifts and the Gifted. I loved everything about this book, except the fact that it ended. It broke my heart and put it back together a million times, and I can't say enough good things. Reread all of the previous books, read this one, and then read the others when they come out! This will leave you speechless in the best way. Hands down, these are the best books I've ever read. Five stars aren't enough for The Becoming of Noah Shaw!

So to start off, can I just say oh my, oh my. The story starts with us in England with Noah, hid family, and Mara laying his father to rest. And as we remember from the Mara Dyer trilogies, his farther was a monster. Not going to spoil that for readers who haven’t read it. But that is where we come into the story. They are still working to find out why all this has started, but to add a twist to the story other gifted teens are killing themselves with no explanation. This leads down the winding road of why and who’s. We even meet two more gifted, one who we meet in former story and didn’t expect. Mind Blown. Former characters come back and throw a complete monkey wrench in everything. And when I say everything I mean it. Making people doubt their relationships. And adding to the lack of trust is crazy on every side.. This twist on Noah and Mara story has sent me on a serious tail spin. With everything going on, and them trying to figure it out their relationship may or may not take a hit. And lets just say when it gets, to the climax of the story holy balls and what you never see coming. We are left with a cliff hanger at the end, wondering what is going to happen next and who is pulling the strings. Recommendation: Yes I am going to recommend this Mara Dyer fans. Just because her story left us with so many unanswered questions that Noah’s story just might answer. I am looking forward to the next to installments, because I have a ton of question that need to be answered. A TON. Patently awaiting the next installment in the Shaw Confession Trilogy

I have been waiting to get my hands on a copy of THE BECOMING OF NOAH SHAW ever since the book was announced all the way back in 2015. The first book in a planned trilogy, THE BECOMING OF NOAH SHAW picks up right where the Mara Dyer series left off and answers the question: what happens after happily ever after? A tumultuous and mind-bending ride, this book surpassed all of my expectations. It was a blast to be back with Noah, Mara, Daniel, and the rest of the crew, as well as to meet some new faces. I’m eagerly awaiting the next book in the series, as fans of the Mara Dyer series are in for a treat—and everyone else is as well! Definitely recommended for older age groups.
