Reviewed by Hilary Hawkes for Readers' Favorite Three Little Monsters and The Ghost of Wisdom Woods by Jessica Snape and Jasmine Mills is a fun and entertaining story for children. Three little ghosts called Gruesome, Grumble and Grouch live in the basement of a house in the woods – their task is to scare away human trespassers. But they must do enough scaring to gain the points that will keep them from being returned to Ghoul School or Scaresville by the evil Dr Booshilla. Then one day, after an unsuccessful day’s scaring, they discover someone else is in residence and is scarier than they are. Can the monsters and the Ghost work together and help one another or will they all fail the scare tests and be sent away? Three Little Monsters and The Ghost of Wisdom Woods is such a fun story and young monster lovers will enjoy the antics of Gruesome, Grumble and Grouch and their new friend, Ghost. It is entertaining and not too scary, and I liked that the story had some good lessons and messages about helpfulness and putting others first. Even the Scare Council acts fairly and saves Gruesome from being returned to Ghoul School. A great lesson in working as a team! The characters have their own personalities as they attempt to scare and as they relate to each other. There are some funny and chaotic moments as they do their best to score the scare points they need. Jasmine Mills’ color illustrations are bright, attractive and appealing, and depict the characters very well. A wonderfully fun story for monster fans everywhere.
