Willa has had a crush on Jackson since she was 17. Jackson didn't know she existed and when he saw her he called her by the wrong name and had been for 9 years. She is the shy virgin and he is a playboy. I wasn't sure how these 2 would every come to be a couple but the author did a good job of creating the "meeting" between the two. How fitting that Thea the artist would see Willa for the beautiful woman she is and Jackson just kept seeing the kid. I wasn't as in love with these 2 as I am Thea and Logan but I think it is because these are a totally different kind of character. Timid is a sweeter love story than Tattered. I am looking forward to the next in the series.

Poor Willa I really felt for her at the start and at times during this story, I am so glad she found her confidence to stand firm and to fight. Jackson's early life has influenced his adult life and the way he deals with relationships and the overall outlook for his future, I found it sad that despite the two very big friendships and relationships that he has had from quite early on, he didn't see past that to realise and connect that they hadn't left him, they were constants in his life even when not living close by they were in touch. While I had some idea of what might happen in this story, (the way my mind thinks I guess) there was more to it and it was on the suspenseful side for a bit. The emotional side of this book is intense in places, raw in others. I must say up until the first book in this series I hadn't read any by this author, having enjoyed that book I immediately one clicked on this second book and having finished and really enjoyed this have done the same with the third book. I guess that says it all, I feel I want to shut myself away somewhere to be left completely alone to just soak these stories up, they deserve that level of love. Easy reading with a great flow and plot, well written and very down to earth and realistic. Loved it.

I love Devney Perry's books! I'm a big fan of her work. With Timid she delivered an amazing story with the right amount of everything: angst, steam, drama, and a big twist. Well, two big twists. Jackson is dreamy. He doesn't think he deserves Willa or anything good in his life. Willa is the sweetest and I learned a lot with her about trust (and patience). I LOVED IT!

Timid is one of those books that just wraps you up and doesn’t let you go until the end, and then it doesn’t really let you go then. But, seriously...all of Devney Perry’s books do that to me!!!! This is Willa and Jackson’s story, and what a story it is! The romance begins with Willa many years before it does for Jackson! She fell for him the instant she saw him as a teenager when he first arrived in town. Since then, she has tried to get him to notice her to no avail. Willa, being who she is, doesn’t do anything drastic in that department. She is very reserved and shy...hence the title of the book. By the end, she has grown into a more confident and self-assured woman, not a girl anymore. Jackson has never really known a home until he came to Lark Cove. Hazel, Thea, and Charlie are his family. He is somewhat reserved himself but in a completely different way than Willa. He definitely gets attention with his good looks and his charm, but he doesn’t really allow others besides his inner circle get too close. He is completely clueless about Willa. The guy doesn’t even call her by the correct name. One night, all that changes, and he really “sees” Willa, and it’s over for him. He knows she is special, and he won’t give up until he has her. She will definitely make him work hard which I loved by the way. As with all of Perry’s novels, it’s much more than a romance. There are twists and some angst, but they play into the plot of the book and really make the characters grow into the people I think they were created to be. She always draws me into her books and her characters. They aren’t just fictional characters; she brings them to life.. She knows how to pull at my heartstrings and can make me shed a tear of two, but it’s that emotional connection that brings me back to her time and time again!!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed book one Tattered in this series so when I saw book two was coming out I was super excited. I wasn’t disappointed as I loved this story. We met Willa and Jackson as secondary characters in book one. This is their story and what a great story it is. Willa has had a crush on Jackson since he turned up in their little town when she was a kid. Nothing could compare to him. She moved on with her life but Jackson held a little part of her heart. When Jackson sees a drawing of Willa his eyes are opened. He wants her but after a drinking night can she forgive him? A fabulous read of nearly four hundred pages. I started this in the morning and it kept me awake late that night... I just needed to know what was going to happen. Seriously can’t wait to read more of this series.

Jackson & Willa: a HEA like no other! Devney Perry’s books just get better and better! I finished Timid last night and Jackson stole my heart! Willa is an amazing heroine - she gives a new definition to stand by your man and love him when he can't love himself or see what is right in front of his face! It really makes you think – are you missing someone who is right in front of you? Another great read!

Oh hell you guys! Timid is in a close running for the top spot of my favorite Devney book so far! I’m not sure how she does it, but Devney draws me in with every new story she writes! Willa (with an A) and Jackson were under my skin from the very beginning....They have to be the sweetest couple ever! The love the two have is nearly indescribable, it’s so beautiful! Even though their love is so amazing, there’s still plenty of moments that keep you on your toes. It’s not all smooth sailing to get to their HEA! I did not want this story to end. Do yourself a favor and read this book....you definitely won’t regret it!

I am obsessed with Devney Perry, so its no shocker that Timid was yet again- a home run for Devney. I have been waiting for this one since the end of Tattered and I knew it was going to be written about shy Willa and overprotective Jackson. Small town romances are one of my favorite tropes, and that is Devney's specialty, but I was especially drawn to Willa's character. I love a hidden, unrequited love story. Where the hero or heroine- quietly pines away for the other main character- and when they end up falling in love and spilling the beans they've been in love with the other person for months, years- it's legit my favorite thing ever- even more so than small town romances, ha!! Willa has had a crush on Jackson- who is oblivious by the way- for years. Mostly just pining away from afar, and trying to get him to notice her. He only notices her when he sees a sketch of her- and has to meet this mystery woman, whom he already knows. jackson is a little gruff around the edges and doesn't believe he is worthy of love. So Willa has to try that much harder. I loved her "timid," nature- but also her inner voice telling her she had to go for it. their story is one I will not soon forget. Devney's knack for not only making the main characters stunning as well as the side characters- is why I read her books. that a fabulous hometown feel, and definitely her attention to detail- with a great flow, is the reason she is one of my favorite authors in the reader world today

Willa and Jackson were awesome in their story. I love the setting of the small town in Montana. I was a little unsure at first if Jackson would redeem himself. He did and the story did not disappoint. Jackson ended up being a wonderful hero! Buy this book, you will not regret it!

Just when you thought Devney Perry’s books couldn’t possibly get any better along comes Timid. Timid is Willa and Jackson’s story. We met them in the first Lark Cove series book Tattered. This is a love story that spans over years it pulls you right in and you don’t want to stop reading until the last page is turned. I have read all of Devney Perry’s books and each new one becomes my favorite. This book lived up to all my expectations that I had. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. If you haven’t read any of Devney Perry’s books please run don’t walk to get your hands on her books you will not be sorry.

Oh my goodness. I loved every freaking word of this book! I wanted to keep reading but I didn’t want to keep reading because I never wanted this book to end. I got so immersed in Willa and Jackson’s story that before I knew it the book was over. But I LOVED it. I loved how every single page kept me hooked and I just kept wanting more of Jackson and more of Willa. Just an utterly perfect, romantic, and fun story. Devney is hands down one of my all-time favourite authors, and I don’t think she’ll ever write a book that I don’t love!

This book was fantastic. I love everything by this author but this book was special. The heroine has a backbone and the hero really works through some complex issues. It is fantastic and I can't wait for more people to read it.

This is the second book in the Lark Cove series and this one is definitely my favourite of the two! I absolutely loved Willa and Jackson and their story was really fun and super sweet without being too sickly!! Willa has been in love with Jackson since she was 17 years old and first spotted him when he moved to Lark Cove to help run the bar. Ever since then she has watched him from afar, never being noticed, but always dreaming that one day she would end up with the beautiful man. Having moved away for college, and now older and back home, she is working at the summer camp whilst Jackson is still at the bar. He is just as handsome as she remembers. Then one night Jackson gives her something she will never forget, something that will forever be carved into her memory, her dreams and what she has always wanted. Only Jackson does forget... totally... to the point that he can't even remember Willa, let alone what they shared!! When Willa realises that she needs to start moving on and forget about Jackson, that is when Jackson finally notices Willa. He starts having flashbacks, but Willa is determined not to be treated that way again. She certainly makes Jackson work for it and I love that about her. Timid little Willa is actually stronger than she looks! And when Jackson's past comes back to haunt him, that is when they are really tested and their strengths and weaknesses are uncovered. This story was brilliant and as always Devney Perry manages to captivate me with her wonderful writing and descriptive words, sweeping me up into the lives of all of those in Lark Cove. This was a wonderful story and Jackson and Willa's journey is one you definitely need to read!

Two words come to mind when I think of Timid. And those words are "Pure Perfection." I had been really wanting Willa and Jacksons story since the middle of Tattered. I couldnt wait to get my hands on their story and see what was up.This book lived up to all my expectations I had of it. I laughed, I got emotional, my jaw was left on the floor a few times, and when it all ended I had the biggest smile on my face. Again, her characters become your friends, Perry does such a fantastic job of potraying the surrounding area, you feel like you're living in Lark Cove, and you find yourself wanting more stories as you keep reading and meeting new people. I'm so glad there is more to come in this series, because this book definitely left me wanting MORE! And can I just say that short story at the end?!?! AMAZING! Devney gives her fans what they want, and we love her for it!!

I think all of us can relate to having a teenage crush on an older guy. Only in Willa's case she's never got over it. She's written many journals about thoughts, feelings and sightings of Jackson. He just about crushed her when he didn't remember kissing her. What I find interesting is when Willa is ready to give up on Jackson and move it's almost like he's struck by lightning 'seeing' Willa. One of those situations that someone is always there but you never actually see them. Jackson has never had an issue with women and just can't figure out why Willa won't go on a date with him. I really love how these two develop as a couple. There is a great build up. There was just something about Jackson and Willa that I really connected to. Willa comes across as almost a shy person that lets her friends run over her. She definetely proves she knows how to stand up not only for herself but for her relationship with Jackson too. Through Willa Jackson starts to realize he is worthy of love and to believe in love. Timid is book 2 in the Lark Cove Series but I think it can easily be a stand alone but I, personally loved revisiting and catching up with everyone. It was like visiting with friends. This is wonderful series that I thoroughly enjoyed and I can't wait until the next one. The author has a great way of writing that pulls a person into the book that makes the reader connect with the characters on a deeper level.

When Willa & Jackson were first introduced in Tattered, I knew they would get an amazing story. This story was not only amazing, it was a perfect 6 star that exceeded my already high expectations. Willa has been crushing on Jackson since she was 17 yo. He showed up into town and it was love at first sight for her. She waited and waited. Now years later he takes a notice to her but she’s upset and turns him away. He will have to work hard to win her. Many obstacles will be thrown in their path. This storyline was amazingly executed to get me hooked from the first page to the very last one. This story was devoured in a matter of a few hours. I loved the characters very much. I can’t wait to read more from this series. This is the second book in the Lark Cove. I think, it can be read as a standalone. But for better enjoyment read Tattered first. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
