About the Author

Joelle Caputa is a writer, editor and public relations maven. She founded an all-female staffed 'zine that transitioned into a popular indie lifestyle website and Internet TV channel, reporting on "what's hot and what's important." During that time, she produced, hosted, and edited segments with international superstars, including Thirty Seconds to Mars and David Garrett, stood whiskers away from endangered tigers while reporting on their plight, and organized events to benefit shelter dogs.

Her articles have been published on The Huffington Post (her post "Why Women in their 20s Get Hitched When They Should've Ditched" was named one of the top 12 Blog Posts that Sparked Debate in 2011), The Nest, Teen People, Venus 'Zine and in other media outlets.

As a PR pro, her portfolio boasts a decorated and diverse array of clips. She has landed her clients on MTV (Jersey Shore, The Real World), Showtime, AOL Radio, in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Forbes.

Her book, Trash the Dress: Stories of Celebrating Divorce in your 20s, has been featured globally in The International Business Times, The Sydney Morning Herald (Australia), Maclean's (Canada), The Globe and Mail (Canada) and on Dr. Oz's YouBeauty.com, to name a few.
