Wicked Torture is book 3 in the Stark World Series and what a brilliant addition to a great series, this is a story full of twists, it’s an emotional roller coaster that will blow your mind. Noah and Kiki have a history, a past that tore them apart so how will they react a few years down the line when they met again, will the past win and tear them apart or will true love win the day, is it really their time to find love and happiness. This book is about true love, friendship and loyalty, heartbreak and second changes, it’s beautifully written and it will have you hooked from the very first page, every character in this series is strong and you can’t help falling in love with them. This is a perfect standalone novel within a great series and once again J.Kenner makes you feel like you are part of her Stark World Family, looking forward to more in this series just wondering who’s story we will get next. Loved it, it’s a must read of 2017

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Noah is fighting to live a normal life ten years after the abduction and deaths of his wife and daughter when an old girlfriend shows up and turns his life upside down. Kiki thought she had moved past Noah, but once she runs into him again, life quickly grows complicated. Throw in trying to balance working together while their past attraction begins to resurface, and things become complicated. And when someone else from Noah’s past shows up, he must decide what’s most important to him, and what he’s willing to sacrifice for love. I’m going to start this review by stating that I haven’t read many romance novels, so I was a little skeptical when I started this book. But I ended up enjoying it very much. I enjoyed watching the relationship up and downs between Noah and Kiki. I will say, the book summary is a little deceiving, because it makes it seem like Noah and Kiki meet for the first time in the book, but they already know each other and have a past. The relationship between Noah and Kiki had a natural flow. In a lot of books, the romance between two characters seems forced, but not in this one. Everything progressed at a believable pace, and the problems that arose between them made sense. I did feel like the whole book was leading up to the ending only for it to seem a little rushed. It would have been nice if it had caused a little more conflict for a little longer. But other than that, I enjoyed this story and I look forward to reading other books that are set in this world. I give it 4/5 stars. Wicked Torture was released on November 14, 2017.

A super steamy, emotional second chance romance! Noah and Kiki's story is about a love that spans over many years even though circumstances tore them apart. A chance encounter brings them back together and gives them a second chance. Steam, humor, romance, and a cast of great characters makes this a fantastic read. The end comes with a twist that could tear them apart again, but they finally get their HEA. Loved the ending! A great series!

I was excited to get to read Noah's story. We have seen him in the other books and I was excited to see what he was all about. I love that J. Kenner links her books together and gives us little peeks to some of our favorite characters through new characters books. As always the writing was amazing.

Noah and Kiki are the latest couple in the wonderful books that make up the Stark world. Noah lost Kiki years ago and never got over her. In the meantime, he did what he thought was right and it was ripped away from him. Kiki has been living her life trying to recover from the heartbreak Noah gave her. Just when she has things together and is truly moving on he comes back into her life. Can she forgive what he did a decade ago and can their second chance give them the future they always wanted?

“I love you, I left you, but now I’m back because of a horrible tragedy?’” Wicked Torture is for sure an emotionally charged romance. Once again, J.Kenner’s words captured my attention from the very first pages. The storyline just flows perfectly and I felt Kiki and Noah’s inside turmoil and emotions along their journey. ““I mean that I lost you in Los Angeles, and found you here. Miracle One.” I have always been a big fan of the Stark World, and I could not wait to read Noah’s story. He has always been an enigma until now. He has been mourning his wife and child’s death for 10 years , and is trying to move on and rebuild his life. Professionally Noah is extremely successful and highly respected but on a personal level, he is a lonely wolf. When he sees Kiki again, he sees the light and a hope for a second chance… a hope to make it right. Kiki is the one that he let get away and he feels guilty because of his choices… “To make her understand that they’d had a second chance handed to them on a shiny silver platter. All they had to do was dig in. But a bigger, saner part knew that she was right. They weren’t the same people anymore. And while the attraction was there on both sides, the trust wasn’t.” Kiki got her heart broken into pieces by Noah and now that he is back in her life, she does not know what to do. Should she listen to her heart or to the voice of reason? They have both changed- Noah is a broken man who is fighting his own demons. “the man you’d fallen in love with was happy. Ambitious. But the guy who returned? Well, he was broken.” He meets my eyes. “In a lot of ways he still is.” Kiki has questions that are still unanswered and she needs more. Her character felt real to me and I could totally relate and understand her insecurities. Why would she give him a second chance… at breaking her heart again? The characters are real, endearing and a perfect match! The chemistry between them was hot and steamy… but both of them have serious emotional issues that they need to resolve if they want to get the second chance that they deserve. Will they finally get their HEA? “I want to look at you and know that I’m the only man with the privilege of seeing you naked and vulnerable. The only man who can touch you. And I want you to give yourself to me, knowing that I will never want another woman. I want your surrender, baby. Basically, I want all of you.”

Noah Carter is a broken soul, punishing himself for walking away from the woman he loved. We met Noah in the SIN trilogy, while he was working at Deliverance, the organization specialized in locating kidnap victims. Noah made a choice, but he has paid the price for leaving behind the love of his life, Kimberly Porter. What brings them back together is fate. Kimberly is hired by Damien Stark as a consultant to market a new and innovative listening device Noah has invented. Their reunion is poignant, full of intensity, heartbreak and repressed longing. Noah is so sweet and ready to pick up right where he left off. He is a man on a mission. Kimberly is afraid of getting hurt again. She is understandably wary of Noah, and yet she is deeply moved by his tenderness. What they feel for each other is powerful, intense and unresolved. With dramatic twists and turns, the emotions and feels are off the charts! The writing of this book is excellent, the plot moved swiftly, the character development was on point, and I was hooked right from the very start. This book can be read as a standalone, but as a long-time fan of Julie Kenner’s work, I enjoyed the cameo appearances of well-known characters from the Stark and SIN series. I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.

4.25 stars--sexy , second chance 4.25 stars-- WICKED TORTURE is the third instalment in J. Kenner’s contemporary adult STARK WORLD erotic romance series focusing on the men and women of Stark International-a spin off from the author’s Stark Trilogy. This is IT genius Noah Carter, and singer/program designer Kimberly ‘Kiki’ Porter’s story line. WICKED TORTURE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. Told from first person point of view (Kiki), and third person perspective (Noah) WICKED TORTURE follows the second chance romance between two people whose relationship was destroyed ten years earlier when Noah walked out of Kiki’s life leaving her heartbroken and shattered. Fast forward to present day wherein Kiki is the new consultant at Stark Applied Technology Austin, and her contract position has her working side by side with the man she once loved. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Kiki and Noah, and the potential fall out when Noah’s past resurfaces for a second chance. Kiki barely survived the destruction and aftermath, ten years earlier, of her breakup with Noah Carter- the man to whom she promised her life but a man who felt obligated to someone else. Noah Carter has never stopped loving the woman he left behind but will his love be strong enough to overcome the painful memories of heartbreak and betrayal? Noah has a bit of a martyr complex that could have proven destructive if he followed the same pattern he chosen in the past. The relationship between Noah and Kiki is one of second chances; a rekindling romance where trust must be rebuilt upon a broken foundation. The sexual attraction is palpable; the energy is electric. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Kiki’s hlalf-brother Cam: Ares and the band Seven Percent; as well as some of the members of Kiki’s original group Pink Chameleon. We are reintroduced to Lyle Tarpin and Sugar Laine (Wicked Dirty #2), Wyatt Royce and Kelsey Draper (Wicked Grind #1), Dallas Sykes (S.I.N trilogy), as well as the requisite cameo appearance of Damien Stark. The world building takes the reader to the sights and sounds of Austin; the nightlife, the music, and the world of IT technology. WICKED TORTURE is a sexy read; a second chance for two people whose lives when in opposite directions; where one man’s guilt barely escapes his day to day life and memories. The premise is edgy and engaging; the characters are charismatic and colorful; the romance is sexy and hot. There is a bit of a twist to the storyline that was easily deduced early on but a twist that barely made a difference to the story line conflict. I did struggle with one particular aspect in regards to eye color and hereditary significance that would have been proven false if scientific research were actually involved. WICKED TORTURE and the Stark World series is a decadent escape into the passionate lives of the rich and famous.

Wicked Torture is the three book in the Stark World Series. Noah Carter is known as a tech genius who is in charged of the Austin location for Stark Applied Technology. Even though he's this smart tech business guy he is still dealing with the loss of his wife and daughter for about eight years. As he tries to come to terms with his loss he runs into an old flame KiKi Porter. Kiki Porter is a very talented singer who's heart was broken years ago. Ever since she got her heart broken she has been very scared and guarded to move on with her life. Now that she's got her heart put back together she runs into the one and only heartbreaker. Will she runaway or will she stand up to Noah? I voluntarily received an ARC for a honest review.

Second chance at love Wicked Torture grabbed me and didn’t let go until the end. I was a wreck going through all the deeply emotional and heartbreaking scenes with Noah Carter. He’d lost his wife and child and seemed lost for so many years mourning the loss. When Kiki King crosses paths with Noah, it’s a reminder he’d crushed her heart when he’d ended their engagement ten years ago. But the chemistry is there between them still, and Noah and Kiki wonder if it’s kismet, their second chance at love. I admired Kiki for her strength and fortitude, and Noah finding his heart once again. It’s sexy, sweet and soulful. J Kenner delivers another incredible, beautiful romance that will grab your heart. This story is part of the Stark World and we get a few cameo appearances from other characters. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I LOVE THE STARK WORLD! I love the characters and all the different story lines... and Noah is no different... what a must read for the Stark Family! Hopefully there is more and more of the Stark World coming to us!

4.5 stars It was love and then nothing for ten years until Kiki ran into Noah, the man who broke her heart into a million pieces after her first singing gig in years. Noah was not without his scars as well. He married a woman who he did not love because he did not want to be like his father and skip out on raising his child. However, fate had other plans for him and he never forgot about Kiki. Now the two are working together on a project for a Stark Enterprise offshoot and the feelings of the past are reigniting on both sides. Will they be able to forgive the past and forge a new relationship together? As usual Ms. Kenner has written a mesmeric addition to the Stark World trilogy with this third book and you will not be able to put it down. I volunteered to read an arc of this book.

Wicked Torture by J. Kenner is the third book in the Stark World series. An emotional roller coaster of a novel with drama that both main characters will need to overcome in order to get their HEA. Noah Carter is a genius and successful on the outside but inside he is tortured by his past and loss of his wife and his daughter after they were abducted more than eight years ago. Burying himself in his work, Noah has been keeping himself away from any emotional ties that is until he meets Kiki Porter again. His love whom he left behind for the woman having his child. Kiki Porter is one of those people who sees the better side of things, but her history with Noah has left her less than optimistic about being with him. J. Kenner once again has created complex characters which are passionate but tortured. Wicked Torture is a rocky ride when history tries to repeat it self but you can't help but root for Noah and Kiki to get it right this time. I enjoyed the battle between them that lit into something more and passion that was unquenchable. The constant battle that Kiki has with herself about Noah, and Noah's own struggles make a rather tortuous path that makes it all the sweeter in the end. Overall, I recommend Wicked Torture by J. Kenner as a roller coaster of a book. With characters who have pasts with each other there are always boulders in the water to navigate and that is what drove the story forward and the characters together. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book I received for free from the author in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)

I love all of J Kenner's Stark series novels (and novellas)! All of her Heroes and heroines possess strong character traits, story plots twist and turn, and most end in satisfying HEA's! I say most, mainly, because I always want more Nikki and Damien! Wicked Torture follows the same great format, where we finally see into computer genius, Noah Carter, and his second chance heroine, Kiki Porter. Fate reunites them on a chance meeting when Noah decides to go have a drink in a local bar rather than return to his hotel room. He's recently relocated to head up Stark Applied Technology Austin (SATA- I doubt this acronym was a coincidental match for the SATA hard drive in some of our computers). He was in love with Kiki about 10 years prior when he made a decision to do the "right thing" which left both of them devastated. He's not only been carrying guilt for feeling responsible for his wife and daughter's deaths, but also for hurting Kiki when they broke up. When they meet again, both are reluctant to rekindle anything because Noah still carries a profound guilt for how deeply he hurt Kiki, and Kiki doesn't know if she can ever trust Noah with her heart again. Of course neither of them are really able to bury the love they still carry for one another so they agree to "cautiously" proceed. The scenes when they finally let their guard down explode with passion as if no time has passed. In the working world, they complement one another so well, and I absolutely love Noah for supporting Kiki in her dream of restarting her music career. In the twist and turns of the story plot, characters from other Stark Universe books make cameos, which makes readers like this reviewer, giddy with seeing some of their "old friends" again! Enjoyed the epilogue, though I wish it would have been longer! All in all, J Kenner did not disappoint! I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Wicked Torture by J. Kenner was very wicked in the sense that the author truly played with our emotions in this third installment of The Stark World. In this book, Kenner didn’t hold back at all as she hooked, punched, and left reader begging for more in this deeply poignant, heartwarming and beautiful second chance love story. In all honesty, this is one of those reads you have to read for yourself and trust me when I tell you, you will indeed fall in love with Kenner’s hypnotic and sexy prose. So if you are ready for a romance that will make your heart ache and at the same time be filled with so much yearning then this is the book for you.

Wicked Torture by J Kenner is book Three in the "Stark World' series. This is the story of Noah Carter and Kiki Porter. I have not yet read the previous book so for me this was a standalone book. Noah and Kiki met when they were younger and feel in love but they didn't end up together. Noah went on to marry Darla and had a baby girl but both of them were killed after being kidnapped. Kiki to had some hardship to live through but has works hard to move on. Now almost 10 years later they meet up again and sparks fly. But can these two with their past work to get their second chance at love? Really enjoyed this second chance love story.

Ack Noah and Kiki's story! Noah and his life just make you want to alternately bawl for him and hug him. He has been through so much and you really just feel for him while you can't believe how he is living with his past. Kiki is finally living her dream and singing. Until the one day she picks up the mic again and sees Noah - the one who made it all go away. This Stark World series is AMAZING and I will definitely be re-reading it again. I need another visit to the stories.

truly enjoy reading J's story's. Her characters are always just the right amount of perfect for me. I always get so sucked into her world's, that once I start I can't put her books down. This story is just as amazing as all her others. From the very start I was hooked. And lets not forget the important part, always full of so much hottness! In this book we meet Noah and Kiki. Thier story is about second chance. Its filled with so much emotions. No matter what they were faced with, no matter how much distance between them, the love they both felt for each was stronger than they both ever gave credit for. I felt this to be a deeper story then Wicked Grind and Wicked Dirty. I loved all 3 but this one touch me the most! Its just so heart warming and everything these characters are faced broke my heart. Both these characters are so perfectly perfect for each other. Everything is so well written and put together. Excellent read if you need an escape.

I was truly surprised by this second chance romance. Noah and Kiki met and just clicked, they found something magical but then it shattered when a woman Noah had been dating ends up pregnant. Noah is noble, he came from a shattered home and wouldn’t do that to his child so he did the honorable thing. I felt how much they both were shattered in that moment. Kiki understood but her muse left her and she gave up her music career. Fast forward 10 years and they meet again in Austin at a bar, the chemistry is still there and explodes for them both. The shocker is when Kiki ends up in Noah’s office to present the marketing plan for his latest product. Can these two rebuild the trust that was lost? Will Kiki risk her heart again? There is so much that happened to both of them in that 10 years, can they overcome those demons and hold on to love? This emotional roller-coaster truly delivered and kept me guessing. I loved all the twists and turns while enjoying these two amazing characters and their struggles.

Title: Wicked Torture Author: J. Kenner Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance Format: Ebook - ARC Pages: 300 Rating: 5 Heat: 5 Thoughts: This is such a sweet yet spicy, second chance romance. I call dibs on Noah!! He is the perfect book boyfriend. I can’t get enough of the Stark World men, perfectly written with just enough flaws to make it believable. This story will make you wonder about old flames, that’s for sure (unless you’re already with him or don’t have any worth thinking about lol). Kiki was awesome, broken but mending when she runs into Noah again. Not wanting to get hurt but unable to stay away from Noah. And Noah was so patient, yet unwilling to lose her again. Beautiful story! Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work and chose to write a review.

Wicked Torture was amazing!!!! I FLOVE Noah's story. I knew there was something in his past that seemed to keep him guarded. When he is faced with it, he is not sure to embrace it or keep it at a distance. With that being said, Kiki is back in his life and trying so hard not to fall for Noah again. These two have the history and possibly a future together. Noah is so conflicted that it made my heart hurt for him. Wicked Torture brings in the angst, drama, and so much more. I was not expecting the background for Noah, but I see that it fitted him perfectly. I loved that we got to see a few of our friends from the Stark world. I highly recommend this book! J. Kenner keeps giving the good with her characters that have you craving and asking for more! Will Noah and Kiki get their HEA with this second chance romance?

Whew...Talk about a plot twist that you wont see coming! This book is an epic emotional roller coaster that you will not want to get off of. Noah and Kiki have history, history that is clouded in hurt, lies, betrayal and tragedy. Now they are suddenly working together and their lives are nothing like they were before. Now they are trying to work on their relationship when their troubled past catches up with them. Will they be able to come out the other side together or is this newest road block the one to finally break them? I always love coming back to the Stark World and I highly suggest that you get started today!
